Despite years of fear-mongering about Gerrymandering and claims the first map could not be improved, the Iowa Senate followed the process outlined in Iowa Code and a more compact map with better population differences has been approved. 2/3

After review of the second Redistricting Plan, I believe it corrects the failures of Plan One to redistrict the state in a compact manner with minimal differences in population. 1/3

I’m proud to support my friend @RandyFeenstra! He was a conservative leader in the Iowa Senate and has taken those values to DC.

Now with full reserves and record surplus, we must continue to permanently cut income taxes!

Iowa has a good redistricting process and by requesting a second map, the Senate has continued to follow that process today. Senate Republicans believe LSA can improve the compactness and population deviation of several districts by developing a second redistricting plan. (1/2)

Our Back the Blue bill was signed today! Iowans depend on law enforcement to be there when they need them. Senate Republicans promised Iowans we would back the blue and with the governor’s signature today, we have kept our promise!

Major tax relief delivered for Iowans today! SF 619 was signed into law. Income tax cuts, mental health property tax levy eliminated, more $ for mental health, small biz tax deductions, and killing the death tax all part of this landmark bill.
