@cardboardhead @HarrySymeou He was fouled. ‘Should’ sums it all up in your reply - the game is as such a crossroads with officiating, that almost any challenge could or couldn’t be a penalty, hence why EVERY player goes down more often than not. But again, moving at that speed, try staying on your feet.

@jacobburt77 @HarrySymeou Sort-of fouled. Nah he doesn't. It's basically cheating and it's absolute cringe. There should be a higher bar for penalties. They give far too good a chance to score and with football being such a low scoring game they can influence the result too much.

Obviously there’s things we could do better, desperately unlucky with the overturned penalty decision but thought that was a good night’s work from the Arsenal in one of the most hostile atmospheres I’ve ever experienced. On to next week’s second leg!

When will the contrast in the penalty threshold be looked in to by the governing football bodies?

Looks like Arsenal vs Burnley has been moved to Monday May 18 at 8pm. I know it’s unlikely (City would have to draw twice from Everton, Brentford and Palace), but if our game against Burnley can clinch the title it’s not ideal. Sky/PL clearly feel it’s going to the last day.

@ArsenalBallots No such thing as a ‘Cat D’. It only goes down to Category C - which Wigan this season was priced at.

Cat A = Chelsea Utd city pool spurs + big Cl games Cat B = Everton etc C = Bournemouth etc There is a Cat D too for some cup games like Wigan etc
