Had a wonderful time in Sisters with Steen and Sue. We're doing great, having a good time. Back to the trail now!

Had a nice relaxing time at Callahan's Lodge, no time to do much updating though. Onward to Crater Lakes!

It's hot! Had a nice river bath last night. Lots of hikers have become arrogant after passing the snow. Congrats to all hikers anywhere.

Made it to Little Haven in Belden. Very wonderful place. Thanks to the Braatens.

Today is our first 1% day! (We covered 27 miles, 1% of the total trail)

Today I saw my shadow and remarked that it looked like a muppet with a hat on. Kit told me I do look like a muppet with a hat on.

So apparently our dirt-walking muscles have atrophied; we're finding ourselves sore from all this trail we've had! It's a happy sore though.

Bishop's Library computers have broken their browser somehow to make Picasa not really work. Maybe I'll get pictures up in a week?

So the Sierras are not benevolant. We could not make our 17 mile/day goal, so we had to stop in bishop for more food. Back into it tomorrow.

Finally fixed the increasingly bad leak in Kit's neo air. It was a MANUFACTURER DEFECT. They glued a fold into the seam.

We had a nice lunch break with laurie and dave (neils parents). fruit and cookies are wonderful.and coffee for kit.thanks! off to sierras!

Solar charger is somewhat working. Limited battery. Thanks to ann, ai, karen, annamarie for fruit and chocolate! heading to aquaduct walk.

Well, the rain killed our solar charger and possibly our phone. Sadness.

Twitter has been spotty apparently. Last couple of messages did not go through. We'll be back on the trail tomorrow. Onward to Baden-Powell

We had a nice hike overlooking big bear. Kit's ankles are sore, but not too bad. the rest did her good. i developed a rather large blister:(

With help from Bill, we got a ride into anza to get our food.Heading into san j now.And there was a big pile of grapefruit on the trail!yum
