Excited to be speaking at API Days Paris in December. I've been to a few API Days before, but never to the main Paris event. If you want to come too, you can buy the tickets here: tinyurl.com/4sbws7fz I'll be talking about securing microservice-based APIs, by the way.

"We could actually run the entire Basecamp Classic application on a single Dell R7625! That's $333/month amortized over 5 years. And this is still a large SaaS app that's generating literally millions of dollars in revenue per year!" world.hey.com/dhh/cloud-exit…

@sinustakykard Otroligt viktigt! Det är fruktansvärt läskigt när det händer. Barn som sätter i halsen är ju inget ovanligt, man måste vara beredd. Och… popcorn är livsfarliga.

Heading home after 3 days in SFO at #iiw. Incredibly inspiring to listen and talk to so many smart people. AND I got to talk about #oauth token sharing and claims. Life is good

@renatoathaydes Sounds right, you should get an EOF exception, but more interestingly is if the network connection is dropped in an intermediate router or switch, you will not get an EOF and will wait forever

TIL if you have a Socket waiting on data and the other side closes it, you know it because you get EOF, but if you happen to start reading AFTER that, there's no way to find out the other side went away! Can this be really right? #networking #programming
