We found no impact of changing stress mindset on perception of others’ stress, or on intention to support others. This suggests that stress mindset interventions remain a promising approach to support stress management.

Some studies have suggested that interventions which change stress mindset may negatively impact how we respond to others who are stressed, however, findings have been mixed. Our study sought to reconcile these mixed findings.
