@TamsynVR Thank you. It was a pretty formative experience. Following the event, I changed my major to psychology and now have a career I love. But this week has been tough.

26 yrs ago 35 people were shot in Port Arthur, Australia. The PM immediately enacted gun reform & changed our future. There was pushback of course, but since the gun buyback in '96 there have been 0 mass shootings. In the US there have been 198 in 2022 alone. What will it take?

@TamsynVR I get that. We are extremely lucky more people didn’t die that day - and for gun laws in Australia. The thing is, even having that experience of how terrifying it is, I have never worried about my 3 kids at school. I don’t know how parents in the US stand it.

@JacolynNorrish I'm so sorry you went through that. I was using the definition of a mass shooting as defined by the Australian Institute of Criminology - the intention of my tweet was not to take away from the trauma you experienced

Have added 30 min boxing session to the start of each school day for students needing some movement and regulation before learning. Holding pads for this little crew is certainly my new favourite part of the day and teachers are reporting better concentration and mood.

I feel personally violated by @CraigKellyMP and his indiscriminate and uncalled for text message for the UAP. This kind of marketing makes me furious 😡
