There is absolutely nothing in the Epics that justifies the use of white-Anglo actors as less anachronistic over Black ones. Greeks are neither Black nor White. Ancient Greeks like Aristotle in the Physiognomika described themselves as "the middle point between Ethiopians and Milky-white people like the Northeners and women". "τὸ δὲ μέσον χρῶμα εὐψυχίας σημεῖον" Homer contains more Africans & Easterners than Scandinavians(none) & Anglos(none). Why then would WASPS like yourself be more representative of ancient Greeks? Ancient Greeks had less "Indo-European" DNA(R1b marker) than their modern ancestors, both have very little of it anyway and both have had Aegean/Anatolian markers in their majority. Memnon the Ethiopian is described by Odysseus in Homer as "the most handsome man he ever laid eyes on". Ethiopians draw first blood against the Argives and for that it was said that "Zeus dines with the Ethiopians". In the later Epic Cycle they are described as "more capable [at arms] than Acheans" "προφερεστεροι των Αχαιων" Perseus married Andromeda the Ethiopian. Pelops came from the East. Kadmos from Phoinicia. Hephaistus from Egypt where he is known as Aigyptus. As did Danaos, the progenitor of the Danaans, the largest of the Greek forces in Troy. Plato relates the story of Solon going to visit and getting the wisdom off Egyptian Priests. Manetho, the Egyptian Priest wrote the first collated history fo Egypt in Greek. Euryvatis, Odysseus' kyrix is described as "black, wooly-haired, round-shouldered, wide-stepped/long-legs". Odysseus is described as "black", much the same way Helen is descrived as "white". Is this how you're hoping to make yourself relevant again? By trying to squeeze yourself into a racist debate as the self-appointed leader of the down-trodden poor-white-blondes that make up the vast majority of the cast of the movie anyway cause you're feeling left-out? Greece minted coins bearing African heads since the 6th BCE, the Lesbos exhibits are quite stunning:

So apparently Greek culture was invented by Africans? Can any Greeks confirm this for me please.

BREAKING: Die Tageszeitung (Taz), one of Germany's most influential papers, publishes a devastating report on the violence faced by Palestinian and Christian residents on Jerusalem Day. Full article translate to English: Spit, Push, Provoke. National-religious Israelis march through Jerusalem’s Old City on the anniversary of the capture of East Jerusalem. Activists place themselves protectively in front of Palestinian residents. By Lisa Schneider “The first thing you notice when you arrive in Jerusalem is how empty the streets are of Palestinians,” says Itamar Avneri. Together with the grassroots movement Standing Together, he is spending Thursday and Friday in Jerusalem for the annual observance of Jerusalem Day, during which tens of thousands of Israelis—many of them young and national-religious—march through the Old City waving flags. The march has long been accompanied by unrest and violence, particularly toward the city’s Palestinian residents. The mission this year, Avneri says, is one of “protective presence”: activists physically positioning themselves between vulnerable residents—in this case, Palestinians in Jerusalem—and the right-wing marchers moving through the streets. Jerusalem Day begins this year on Thursday evening and continues through Friday evening, according to the Jewish calendar. Israelis commemorate 7 June 1967, when Israeli forces captured East Jerusalem, including the Old City, from the Jordanian army during the Six-Day War. Israel later annexed the territory. The Old City contains some of the most sacred and contested religious sites in the world: the Western Wall, among Judaism’s holiest places; the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, Islam’s third-holiest site, situated atop the plateau Jews know as the Temple Mount; and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, sacred to Christians. Many Palestinian-owned shops in Jerusalem, particularly in the Old City, remained closed on Thursday, while others shut their doors earlier than usual. The Flag March was scheduled to begin in the late afternoon. According to The Times of Israel, merchants in the Muslim Quarter had been instructed by Israeli authorities to close their businesses. Jerusalem Day, Avneri says, “is a day of violence, racism, and pogroms.” By Thursday morning, young settlers were already moving through the Old City, provoking residents. “They curse Arabs and left-wing activists and sing songs against them,” he says. Videos circulating on social media captured some of the chants: “May your village burn,” “Death to Arabs,” and “Mohammad is dead,” referring to the Prophet Muhammad. Protesters pasted stickers calling for the settlement of Gaza and celebrating the death penalty for Palestinians. “The Temple Mount Is in Our Hands” Even before the official start of Jerusalem Day, Israel’s far-right National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, ascended the Temple Mount on Thursday, entering the grounds of the Al-Aqsa compound. There, he posed with an Israeli flag before the Dome of the Rock, known for its blue, white, and yellow tiles and its golden dome. The Times of Israel quoted Ben-Gvir as saying that Israel had restored “control” over the site “through determination and deterrence.” He added: “The Temple Mount is in our hands.” Ben-Gvir was accompanied by fellow lawmaker Yitzhak Kroizer, who recited a prayer on the grounds of the Al-Aqsa compound. Under the long-standing status quo arrangement governing the site, Jewish prayer there is officially prohibited, with worship rights reserved for Muslims. In recent years, however, that arrangement has increasingly eroded, and police stationed at the site have more frequently permitted Jewish prayer. Later, Kroizer wrote on Facebook: “It is time to demolish all the mosques and begin building the Temple.” Many marchers also carried flags calling for the construction of a Third Temple on the site where the Second Temple once stood—and where the Al-Aqsa compound now stands today. Standing Together has been coming to Jerusalem on Jerusalem Day for the past three years, Avneri says. More than three hundred activists participated this year. In earlier years, the group focused on protests and demonstrations against the Flag March itself. Eventually, Avneri says, they concluded that the priority should be protecting residents directly. Spitting, Shoving, Provocation Every year, Jerusalem Day becomes worse, says Kegham Balian, an Armenian writer from Jerusalem who advocates for his quarter and its residents. The Armenian Quarter is one of the Old City’s four quarters, alongside the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian quarters. Beyond the racist, anti-Palestinian chants, there are also repeated physical attacks. “The constant spitting,” Balian says. More than a dozen such incidents have been documented, though the real number is likely higher. “They pass through the Armenian Quarter, look at the inscriptions and symbols, and spit,” he says—at Armenian priests, community members, and churches alike. “I ask, how many Armenians spit on Jews? On their holiest holidays, hundreds of thousands pass through the Armenian Quarter on their way to the Western Wall. How many of us spit? Zero.” Even before the Flag March officially began, journalists in the Old City had already been attacked. One reporter was spat on, and assailants attempted to steal his phone. In the Christian Quarter, a group of young demonstrators rampaged through the streets, throwing chairs. Avneri says that after hours of being insulted, spat on, and shoved, some of Standing Together’s activists needed a break. “But the danger to us is still smaller than the danger faced by the residents,” he says. “That’s why we choose to be there.” According to The Times of Israel, thirteen people were arrested on Thursday in connection with Jerusalem Day events. And Balian says: “The hatred being planted into the minds of these young, impressionable, innocent children will fester for years and will ultimately end with a bullet in someone. That is the real crime.”

Hungarian DOGE published some of the contracts by the Hungarian government for Western intellectuals, in an anonymized form on Atlatszo.hu And apparently, someone got paid a monthy 7500 EUR for an op-ed in Spectator, as well as "promoting Hungary in the UK and Israel and other countries". I wonder if the Spectator has also paid this very mysterious author for the same piece.

Hey Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, Anastasia Karneeva and Mikhail Shvydkoy, I see you like our work so much — or maybe you're envious of the media reach our action in Venice got — that you pivoted and included Pussy Riot in the Russian pavilion's program. Now that the pavilion is closed, you're displaying footage of our members in pink ski masks that I painted myself. Well, I wanted to let you know that Pussy Riot has been designated an extremist organization in Russia. Under Russian law, distributing extremist materials can carry years of prison time (Article 20.29 of Administrative Code & 282.2 of Criminal code). So good luck defending yourselves in court. I'm giving you 24 hours to remove the footage containing Pussy Riot imagery from the materials displayed in the Russian pavilion. If you fail to comply, I'll file a complaint with Russia's Investigative Committee for distributing extremist materials. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Best, Nadya
