No, it’s a travesty that he even has the option to play in the NFL. The league shouldn’t hire this retard who killed someone driving drunk. He didn’t do real time, and McDonald’s shouldn’t hire him either. Our soft criminal justice system keeps handing out these pathetic sentences — it’s ridiculous

You can go on YouTube and watch footage of the woman screaming before she goes unconscious and her dog frantically running around the backseat barking before they both burn to death because Henry Ruggs decide to drive drunk. He shouldn’t be allowed to step foot out of prison let alone onto a football field.

Henry Ruggs is eligible for parole in August. He is only 27 years old. Should he try to make a NFL comeback?

@jaedme @phisportfanatic @Embiitch He said he agreed with the sentiment. The crime he was charged with was appropriate based on what happened. We don’t have to like it or agree with it. He was sentenced within range for the crimes he was guilty of. We don’t have to like it or agree with it…

@phisportfanatic Henry made a terrible decision operating a motor vehicle while impaired which unfortunately ended a humans life. I do believe Henry was sincere from what I seen from the trial and (hopefully) has learned from his mistakes. If time was served I believe he deserves a 2nd chance.

@phisportfanatic @Embiitch Totally agree - our pathetic criminal justice system at work again. A woman fucking burned alive because of him - he should rot in a prison for life. @Embiitch what if it was your mother or wife that was in the car - you would fucking kill him if got out of prison early.

Russia has a lot of land -- the largest country in the world. Russia does not have a lot of people. Demographic trends are a major challenge. Putin is slaughtering young Russians to acquire tiny bits of land in Ukraine. Irrational.

How are people still tricked by this god stuff in 2026? I get it in 1026 when your entire world was a square mile in size. We see 13 billion light years in to the universe now and have science and technology. I don’t get it.

@djangofella @McFaul My point exactly - International law is a fairy tale - it doesn't mean shit when real security concerns exist.

@jaedme @McFaul It is not a fairy tale, it is international law. The UN Charter enshrines national sovereignty, upholding the sovereign equality, territorial integrity, and political independence of all member states. Russia agreed to that as a UN member.

@djangofella @McFaul You’re talking like this is some fairy tale where countries can just do whatever they want. That’s not how the world works. Power and security concerns matter. Saying “Ukraine can join any alliance it wants” ignores reality. Time to grow up.

@jaedme @McFaul Both is true. It wasnt at the table when Russia attacked them, which makes Russian justification an obvious lie. You still felt for it. And it it is still Ukraines right to join any alliance they want. It is really not that complicated, stop wasting my time.

Yeah, I get the Russian perspective. They felt betrayed. They are a proud, warrior type culture and poking the bear was always going to lead to pushback at some point. I don’t like Mearsheimer, but I think he’s right on Russia. We should have had a clear policy like we do with Taiwan instead of leaving Ukraine in limbo. I support Ukraine, but they are in a brutal geographic position and it probably would have been better to keep them neutral. Ukraine now has a very bleak future, Russia as well.

@jaedme @McFaul I am aware of all that. Baker was never in the position to speak for NATO and the Soviets knew that aswell. Nobody "lied", none of the people involved were still in charge when the first Eastern European countries joined NATO 10 years later.

Dude, you’re saying two things that don’t make sense. Either Ukraine can join NATO if it wants, or it was never actually on the table—you can’t have both. We live in the real world, where states don’t just take each other at their word. The West said Ukraine wasn’t going to join NATO—fine. But why would Russia believe that? If that were truly the case, why wasn’t there a treaty explicitly ruling out Ukraine joining NATO? Actions matter, not words—and all you’re pointing to are words

@jaedme @McFaul No it does not "give them justification". 1. A NATO membership of Ukraine was not even on the table. 2. Ukraine is a sovereign country and can join any alliance it wants to.

@djangofella @McFaul I do think the Russians are liars too, because NATO expansion isn’t the only reason they’re invading Ukraine. But it definitely gives them justification for the invasion—which is the West’s fault. We make a lot of mistakes.

@jaedme @McFaul Ukraine was rejected from NATO in 2008 and had no further intentions to join until Russia attacked them. Maybe you are not in the position to point fingers at others for their lack of knowledge ;)
