This ayah refutes the methodology of Asharis & Maturidis. The angels question how is it logical to create human beings when they will do evil? Allah responds by saying He knows what they do not. The Asharis & maturidis question the rationality of the apparent meaning of the Quran- and hence reject it in favour of taweel or tafwid. Do they not know that Allah knows what they do not know?
