As someone who has been a part of many on-air breakdowns, this is one of the funniest videos I have ever seen. No notes, it’s perfect.

This may be the most wholesome thing we've ever seen 😂 This UCLA pitcher brings a mini dinosaur named Jerry to the mound with him for every start 🦕 via: @B1Gbaseball

Manager Dave Roberts on how he practices endurance as a leader to help get the @Dodgers through a 162 game grind of a season: Be the thermostat 🎚️, instead of the thermometer. 🌡️ Your job isn’t to absorb the team’s emotions, it’s to regulate them. When the players get too hot 😡, you bring the cool 🥶. When they get flat, you bring energy. 🎢 You can't ride the emotional rollercoaster. It's a long season, every game can't be game 7, because you find yourself living in yesterday's game too often. Develop thick skin. 𐂫 You’re never as good, or as bad, as people say you are. But you need to be good mentally to be available for those you lead. Emotional stability is part of leadership. Maybe the biggest part.

Underrated life advice: Become a purveyor of encouragement. Notice what's good in people. Tell them when they do something well. Celebrate their progress. Root for them to win. Be inspired by their success. The world already has enough critics. Be different.

Underrated life advice: Have more hobbies and fewer opinions. Learn an instrument. Plant a garden. Build something with your hands. Cook. Paint. Run. The happiest people I know spend less time debating life and more time actually living it.

Mike Tirico told me his secret. It wasn't talent. It wasn't luck. It was what he does on every flight home. A few years ago, I met him at a restaurant bar in Indianapolis during the Big Ten tournament. One of the biggest voices in sports. He didn't lead with his résumé. He introduced himself. He asked questions. He cared about every person in the room before anyone cared about him. Eventually, I asked him what made him great. He said after every game he calls, on the flight home, he pulls up the broadcast and watches it back. Listens to his own voice. Hunts for the misses. The dead air. The calls he wishes he could have over. Every game. Twenty-plus years in. He wasn't born world-class. He worked his way there one flight at a time. The best in any room are usually the ones still grading themselves the hardest. World-class isn't a personality. It's a habit.
