@jakebilger I think there’s a decent chance he can turn the corner with this next class. I just have been thoroughly disappointed so far and know that the common OSU fan won’t buy in with the lack of defensive intensity that was shown

Kelvin Sampson didn’t make the tournament the first 3 years at UH. Tom Izzo didn’t make the tournament his first 2 years at Michigan State. Dan Hurley didn’t make the tournament the first 2 years at UCONN. Rick Barnes didn’t make the tournament the first 2 years at Tennessee.

@Fergensteiin Yeah I can hear you on that for sure. I just think we got better and need to be positive on our outlook moving forward. I know the team is hard to watch at times but I’m tired of the damn curtains

@jakebilger Yeah I just contribute that to having much better talent and depth in the door. There was still a number of uncompetitive stinkers. I still think they underperformed the talent level. Lutz will never get fan buy in with the defense that was displayed this season

@Fergensteiin Our wins and even competitive games against teams that were in the tournament greatly increased. If you recall last year, almost all of our conference wins were against teams that were not very good. We had 1 win against a tournament team last year, 6 this year.

@jakebilger Finished with 1 less Big 12 win year over year And KenPom improved slightly (97th and 80th), but still 3rd to last in conference and worst defense I would have expected a much bigger jump with the investment/talent infusion Latrel Allmond is a potential program changer though

@jakebilger I get it we cant fire coaches every year but personally just dont have hope in this program until the defense is at least addressed . I appreciate the points but oSu is a laughingstock defesively. Philosophy In game Effort Also throwing arms up and bitching about every call . 🤔

@Fergensteiin Fair points but people just need to realize we got better this year and it only takes one maybe two players to change a program. Hopefully they’re on the roster or signed but right now we’re in the process of searching for them.

@jakebilger We will see next season. Not retaining players year over year is a hard way to build There are holes in this logic Those coaches started at a different time where it took longer to build a roster None of those coaches led a team to the worst defense in school history

@ScottyMc71 Give him some time and resources, the defense was obviously bad but get a rim protector and stop over-helping and we’ll solve ALOT of issues

@jakebilger sorry man...guy can't coach defense and you can't win in the Big 12 if you dont play defense. His offense can win at any mid-major but it won't work with the elite coaches in this league.

@Ostate_Daily I appreciate the optimism but this team is AWFUL to watch and is not close to meeting expectations and we can be honest about that. Wech however is awesome.

The Cowboys lost, but it wasn't because of Noah Wech. It will be NO consolation to him, but he came in with the bases loaded and no one out, got a double play ball, and, although he gave up a hit, he minimized that inning. Then dominated from that point on. #gopokes #okstate

@jakebilger 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 improvemenl to 14th best in conf. Our coach did some things that other coaches learn in their first year or two of coaching…,,……………junior high, if Steve were paid $150,000 per year I would agree with you.

Support Steve. This season has been very painful at times, but that’s 20 wins. Marked improvement fellas!!!!
