The 2014-2015 Hawks being the poster child for a failed top seed never will make sense. They were a 60 win team who went to the ECF before running into prime Bron. Also, all of their rotational wings that helped get them there got injured (Korver, Thabo, Carroll) The 2024-2025 Cavs would be a better example who literally won 64 games and lost 4-1 in the 2nd round

@SpursCulture ‘06 Spurs Mavs WCSF is one of the greatest series in NBA history. Two best teams in the league met in the second round. Still can’t believe Dallas didn’t get a ring this season….

@Vino24Mamba8 @S_U_Network Shaq averaged 25-14-4 in that series and the Lakers were going for their 4th straight title. If anything, it was Duncan who beat that Lakers team by himself - their second leading scorer was TP at 14.8! Few superstars are beating the 3 time champs without a teammate averaging 15

@jakebowling03 @S_U_Network 2003 run??? Kobe almost single handedly beat him if not for losing depth on the team and without Rick Fox Lakers would’ve won If only that R Horry 3 goes down in GM 6 that Kobe brought the Lakers back from and TD n Spurs had wet the bed… Timmy is special n great but he’s 9

@WhozMEECH He wasn’t better than Shaq in ‘01-‘02, or better than Duncan ‘03. Debatable in ‘04 but I lean Garnett. ‘05 he missed the playoffs. ‘06, ‘07, ‘08 absolutely. ‘09 is a debate with LeBron and ‘10 was 100% Kobe.

Besides Kobe already being the best player in the league coming off of his 4th championship, Wanna know one other reason why Kobe should have been the 2010 League MVP: There was a 7 game difference from 1st to 8th place in the gauntlet of the Western Conference. And Kobe hit 7 game winners. That was the difference. Those 7 game winners gave the Lakers the 1st seed and helped Kobe secure his 5th NBA championship. The obvious best player in the league in 2010. All things considered The best player in the game from 2001 - 2010, 2011 - 2013 debatable.

@thyonlybossman And then he 3-peated after this series? 3 Finals MVPs and two MVPs, 72-10 and 69-13 the next two regular seasons…I think we can give his ‘95 return a little bit of slack…

@Shane00 Why are you comparing 23 year old Bron to 34 year old Jordan? At least the Jokic comparison they are the same age. 23 year old Jordan averaged 37.1/5.2/4.6/2.9/1.5 (much worse efficiency tho). I get your overall point but at least the original post compared them at the same age

@WhozMEECH Kobe had Shaq in 3/4 of his playoff wins vs Duncan. The fact that Timmy beat Shaq/Kobe together twice is insane. ‘08 series was a masterpiece for Kobe but I think it’s fair to note he had a top-15 all time teammate in those ‘99/‘01/‘02/‘03/‘04 series…

In 2001 regular season the Duncan led Spurs beat the Lakers 2-1 2001 Playoffs Kobe spanked them 4-0 In 2008 regular season the Duncan led Spurs beat the Lakers 2-1 2008 playoffs Kobe crushed them 4-1 Y’all love boasting in them regular season wins that LeBron have over Kobe but the playoffs is DIFFERENT. And if you think that REGULAR season wins over a player determine if a player is better than the other you don’t understand basketball. If anything the PLAYOFFS PROVE THAT. By the way, so many of yall have Duncan over Kobe, even though in the playoffs where it matters most, Kobe outplayed Duncan. If yall gonna say LeBron > Kobe from the regular season, but can’t say Kobe > Duncan from playoff results, you’re a HYPOCRITE. But we already know that.

@haaaaandrew LeBron > Kobe, but - Kobe 12x all-defense, LeBron 6x in two less seasons Just don’t think LeBron > Kobe on the defensive end of the ball is that clear cut.

Genuinely speaking, what does Kobe do better than LeBron? He’s not a better scorer, passer, defender, or rebounder than Bron. I’m tired of the fake love for Kobe that’s not based on anything tangible.

@ScullyWrestleZz @HoopMixOnly I like this list mostly but I just don’t know how people can put Curry over Durant and also put Shaq over Kobe. It’s the same argument. Also Bird winning 3 rings in a decade where #3 and #4 played TOGETHER without a nod is tough…

Lol I swear Duncan is the 1 of the most protected Players of all time. Not once has the media uttered that he was carried by tony parker who won FMVP over him or Kawhi who did the same. But Let that had been Kobe. Kobe owned this man in the playoffs, even w/gasol averaging 13

@UsherNBA Everyone likes to say the Wolves gave Denver the toughest series (and it was extremely competitive) but the ‘23 Suns were the best team DEN had to beat on way to the title. PHX fell apart games 5/6 but no other team got 2 from DEN. Hope Book can get a competent squad back soon
