Phillies combined stats from the 2024 & 2025 Postseasons (1-4 Record):

Relievers: 16.0 IP | 10.69 ERA
Batters: 160 AB | 3 HR | .181/.286/.294
@JackFritzWIP To make it even worse, Ranger Suarez will never pitch at CBP again Jack. His post season stats are insane and we haven’t used him once smh
Can’t get over how good the Dodgers wheel play was on the Stott bunt. They executed it to perfection.
I think in some situations a bunt there is the right call. I don’t think one of those situations is when you’re rallying in a must-win playoff game.
@DeverShane@TyDaubert@PhilliesNation He likes tie games. His bullpen is so great he wasnt worried about extras. I mean the philles have like 2 guys put there that are good. So I get it. Is there a sarcasm thing I can use?
Let me just say, overall I love the Phillies.
I hate coming off as negative especially when it comes to this team because they have truly brought a feeling back I haven’t had since I was in grade school barely understanding what was happening.
And this is not to say that the so called “stars” should be left off the hook. Pathetic performance from the top of the order for years when it matters the most.
But all that said, this front office has gone into three straight playoff runs with Alec Bohm at cleanup. And I hate when people can’t comprehend that this isn’t a shot at Bohm… he just is what he is. No World Series contender should have a player of Alec Bohm’s caliber hitting cleanup for them.
He’s a slap hitter that needs to be hitting in the 6-8 hole for a good team, but unfortunately he is “probably” the best thing they have to put there, which has been a massive problem for three years and we’re still here.
@TalkinBaseball_ If the score was 4 to 4. Then im fine with this bunt. Trying to get the winning run to 3rd with less then 2 outs is great. Not for a frickin tie!!!!!
@RVaBraves@TalkinBaseball_ It was a great bunt, but a terrible decision!! Dont give a team thats reeling a free frickin out. Playing for a tie is cowardly as hell!!!
@jakedorbert@OnPattison@TalkinBaseball_ Stott cant hit lefties. It's why Roberts brought in Vesia. It was going to force Thompson to pinch hit for Marsh because he cant touch lefties either. If Stott could even bat .200 vs lefties he would have started tonight and not Sosa who he came in for.
So you give them an out with the bunt AND you don’t pinch run for Castellanos, so the out you give them is at 3rd.
Then Bader’s single would’ve scored the tying run, except, u gave that one away.
I know everyone understands this already, but I needed to type it out to believe it
@jakedorbert@OnPattison@TalkinBaseball_ Stott cant even make contact in a somewhat decent percentage, let alone get a hit. You play the odds and percentages to give yourself the best chance.
@Justin_Decker35@OnPattison@TalkinBaseball_ Idc. Let him swing it. Hes come up clutch in the post season before, and worst Case he strikes out. Still better then nick getting thrown out at 3rd
