There is literally ONE woman in this entire room. And she's one of the candidates endorsed by the Independent Alliance.
In 12 or so campaign videos I've not seen another woman. I don't understand why no journalist spotted or gently questioned this aspect of their campaign.

@mcdermottkc_ Absolutely right. Terrible inheritance for Starmer, a huge workload and Trump in the White House. He’s approached it all with determination and integrity and needs to be given a chance. His stance around the attacks on Iran exemplary.

I have never met Keir Starmer (as far as I am aware) but I know a good number of people who know him well. My impression is of someone who is in politics for the right reasons … essentially to improve life for others. He doesn’t get everything right … 1/

I blame this on UX being taken away from designers and handed to hub-spot wielding midwit execs. Everything becomes a landing page. Everyone is optimizing for customer acquisition over customer success. No one cares because the customers have nowhere else to go.

BTW trying to use Business services on X, such as Ads is pretty much the same. They probably hired a truck load of LinkedIn people.

Trying to use any paid business function on LinkedIn is like this. All of their UX leads down blind-alleys. Which is a shame, because since the enshittification of X (which I still think is much better, despite everything) all business attention has moved there.

Where I live, B&M and Home Bargains both have a big shop a couple doors from each other. Me, being a petty person, likes to take a B&M trolley into Home Bargains and vice versa. I'm not sure why I do this or why I get satisfaction from doing so.
