Adams told me Friday that "I'm pretty confident that Maryland is the place for me." Feels like in an ideal world for Buzz Williams, Adams would be a 6th-man type player for next season. Adams told me his biggest improvements will have to come with his jumper and the weight room.

Maryland's season ends with a 75-64 loss to Iowa in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament. Turnovers — a season-long problem — doom the Terps as they compile 16, which Iowa scores 21 points off. Maryland secured nine more rebounds, but it wasn't enough.

The run is up to 20-0 and Maryland now trails 50-34. Another massive run against the Terps in a season that's been full of them. Even yesterday, Oregon went on an 18-3 run to close its deficit to single digits in the final minutes.

A 12-0 Iowa run has it up on Maryland, 42-34. Bennett Stirtz first drilled an off-balanced three before making a wide-open one. The Big Ten's third-leading scorer is up to 10 points. Maryland is 3-8 in the second half with two turnovers.

Maryland leads Iowa 26-25 at halftime. Buzz Williams just referenced football, citing how the Terps need to better dictate time of possession. Maryland already has 8 turnovers and the Hawkeyes have converted seven layups. But Iowa only has two 3-pointers.

"It was embarrassing" was how Maryland felt earlier this season, per Darius Adams. While it hasn't been a complete turnaround, the Terps have played a lot better the last two months — and look more connected. Diggy Coit and Elijah Saunders corroborated that postgame Tuesday.
