you could take an F1 racecar to pick up your groceries. you'd get there fast and you'd also spend millions a year, need a pit crew, and may not have enough space to bring milk back. that's how most teams are using leading models today. introducing ramp router: the right car for every trip.
Veeral Patel@vral

Today we’re launching Ramp Router. 3 years ago, we built an internal LLM router at @tryramp that powers AI products for 70,000 customers. Back then it was mostly about saving money. Now it feels obvious: the best model changes constantly. GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Qwen, DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM - prices and capabilities move every week. So we’re opening up access to everyone. One OpenAI-compatible endpoint. The right model for every request. Lower cost without rewriting your app. Reserve access to use it.

I work 100+ hour weeks at a startup. So I built a video game where you do absolutely nothing. Just rain, passing trains, and wandering around. No points. No objectives. No winning. It's the only thing that shuts my brain off. Link below.

One of these hires, but not Minecraft. also never mentioned it in the hiring process so I don’t know if it counts…
Simon Taylor@sytaylor

Love this hiring strategy ♥️ @tryramp 's CEO @eglyman hired people who played 80 to 100 hrs of Minecraft a week at age 15. He says there's a whole community people at Ramp they found exactly that way. His two hiring signals: 1. Evidence of a spike 2. Exceptional drive "I'm less interested in what is on the resume. I'm far more interested in proof of work." What I love about the Minecraft example is what it proves. Nobody assigns a 15 year old 100 hours a week of anything. There's no grade, salary, or certificate at the end. That's pure intrinsic drive, sustained for years, entirely by choice. You can polish a CV in an afternoon. You can't fake 5,000 hours of anything. Meanwhile we still treat gaming as the hermit hobby. The thing careers advisors tell you to leave off the application. The timing makes this bigger than a hiring quirk. Recent US grads now have higher unemployment than the workforce overall (5.6% vs 4.2%, New York Fed, Q4 2025). That basically never happened between 1990 and 2018. Credentials are inflating right as AI writes everyone's cover letter. A few thousand hours of visible work is much harder to counterfeit. I have my own version of Glyman's test: anyone who chooses to read about fintech on a Sunday morning is probably a great hire. Which should have you looking at Fintech @FintechNerdCon again. It's a room full of people who spend a weekend reading about payments infrastructure for fun. That's evidence of a spike. I'm half tempted to run an intern wall there and see what happens. It's the event where you'll meet your next great hire. And we have several folks from Ramp coming like @chapello and @0xDaedalus Maybe the smartest recruiting move in fintech right now is skipping the milkround and hiring the Discord mods, the GitHub gremlins, and whoever turns up to a conference on a Saturday because they wanted to be there. PS. we have the rockstar games co founder as a keynote, will have a giant arcade, smash and MK8 tournaments and more...

most reps bomb "tell me about yourself" in the first thirty seconds and never even feel it happen. they treat it like a warm-up question. it's the whole interview. the hiring manager has basically decided how they feel about you by the time you finish answering it, and most people use those thirty seconds to recite their resume back to someone who already read it. let me show you what a good one sounds like, because i had a kid run this exact answer last year and watched it change the temperature of every room he walked into. here's the move. you don't open with where you worked. you open by framing yourself as a competitor. something like: "i'm [name]. the thing i do better than most is create urgency and drag a deal forward when everyone else at the table has gotten stuck." that's it. one line and the HM is now listening to a closer, not screening a candidate. you've set the frame before you've told them a single fact about your past. then --and this is the part nobody does-- you tell them you never meant to be here. "i didn't plan on sales. i was headed for law, but i needed money and took a BDR seat at some company nobody's heard of." sounds like a throwaway. it's not. it does two things at once. it's disarmingly honest, which makes everything after it more believable, and it sets up the turn. because then you say: "i was the new guy, 22, and i was outproducing reps who'd been on that floor for years. that's when it clicked - this is the thing i'm actually good at, and the thing i like more than anything i was supposedly built for." now you're not a guy with a sales job. you're a guy who found out he's dangerous at this by accident. that story sticks. the resume recital doesn't. now you prove it, and proof means numbers, not adjectives. "since then i've been at [company] selling [product] to [ICP], and my biggest wins are [the deal, the quota %, the revenue]." short. specific. you're closing the gap between the competitor you claimed to be in line one and the evidence, so by now the HM isn't wondering if you can back it up. you already did. then you close on where you're going, because the last thing they hear is the thing they remember. "what i want now is somewhere i can plant for 3-5 years, push top-line revenue, sharpen my skills, build a real network, and grow what i earn. i know i've got what it takes to be a top BDR. i want to learn from the best - that's what put me in this chair today." and you say that last part with a smile they can hear in your voice. you just answered the flight-risk question and the why-us question before either one got asked, and you painted them a picture of you already in the seat. that's the whole thing. competitor open, the accidental-origin story that makes you memorable, proof tied to real numbers, and a future vision that puts you in the role in their head. the reps who win this question don't answer it. they tell a story the HM is still thinking about after you've left. and look - you've probably told a version of your own story a hundred times and just never built it on purpose. the raw material is already yours. it's the thread that brings everything together that's missing. you already know you're good enough for the rooms you're chasing. the gap is that your story is landing flat when it should be landing like a missile — and that's a writing problem, not a you problem. inside The Incubator we build your TMAY line by line and drill it 1-on-1 until the HM's first reaction is "tell me more." 300+ clients placed at RepVue top-tier orgs. if you want yours built with you, book a call: app.iclosed.io/e/BowTiedCocoo… END. /Cocoon

I’ll admit - I took my transcripts out of Gong and into Claude (Enterprise) for email follow ups. Gong just killed that. AI templates are live, so each seller can have their exact follow-up format ready to go post-call. Gong knows the context from the call - the account, opportunity, ARR, contacts, next steps, risk, industry, etc. That is missing context when you just copy/paste a call transcript into an LLM. Makes it easy to link my Gong call for customer review too. Full video on YT here: youtu.be/6oVIX-Sn3pc One very happy Gong seller.

Every person got their first sales job without experience. Utilize your background and resume and tailor it for the sales position you’re applying for by showcasing how you have the behaviors and traits of sales person even without the direct selling experience. Thinking about soft and people skills. Leadership, project management, communication skills ect
Comrade Otacon@ComradeOtacon

@FidelCacheFlow Issue is I don’t have sales experience. How do I even get the interview if my resume reads engineer?
