Monte Kiffin, 84, peacefully passed away today in Oxford surrounded by family and friends. As his grandson Knox said, he’s free of pain and smiling down on us from above. Please keep the Kiffin family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

@_scottreid 100% correct on @CurseOfPolitics this week re leader’s power in nominations. Better to have open transparency about the leader’s preferences/leaders appointing candidates and judge them accordingly, rather than current system which is neither open nor transparent

@DarrinBauming @KadeynLabossie1 3-5 might be generous, but most OUA games have north of 2k. I also went to and coached at Western where we regularly got 6-10k.

The CFL moved *all playoff games to Saturday doubleheaders — new this year. The Grey Cup remains on the traditional Sunday. It’s a smart move, and one that will surely remain moving forward.

@KadeynLabossie1 @DarrinBauming Oh I don’t think it’s gonna hurt the CFL. My worry is half that 3-5k will be at or watching CFL instead.

@prairiecentrist Yea, this is sort of like those bill-counting machines. The paper ballot survives the whole process, it just gets counted electronically.

Ahem …. I put out lots of charts but this one is really important. It shows almost 3 decades of tracking of public priority rating of debt (deficit same). It has never been lower and has dropped from 88 to 55 in straight decline . What might the public be telling us ? Important!

B.C. Lions QB Nathan Rourke, who set CFL records last season before visiting with 12 NFL teams in recent weeks, has chosen to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, per source. Rourke will be expected to compete to back up Jaguars’ QB Trevor Lawrence.
