Are there more survivors of modern slavery in the UK prisons than there are perpetrators? Possibly. We (i.e. @SlaveryPEC) published a report looking into that, the lack of protection, identification and support for survivors, and I did a little video about it 👇.

We like to think that the Government deals with the problem by identifying and protecting survivors, whilst working to send perpetrators to prisons. Well, the reality is much more complicated. Today we published a new report shedding light on this issue, carried out by the @Uni_of_Essex in partnership with @IOM_UK and @hibiscuscharity. It found that there are many modern slavery survivors imprisoned across the UK, many of them convicted for crimes they committed as a result of modern slavery, and that the scale of this issue is likely larger than currently known. The research analysed the challenges with identification of survivors in prisons and with the lack of support for them. 🚨 Wszystkie komisje zagraniczne wysłały kwity na czas, więc będą policzone. Ew. problem jest z tymi, które się rozeszły i musiałyby poprawiać protokół, ALE są opcje i nie musi być pełen skład. Dalej nie wydaje mi się, żeby jakieś głosy były "zagrożone".
