PS plus subscriptions are optional, most games like Marvel Rivals, Fornite etc work free without a subscription.

Yeah I’m gonna be moving to PC for 3rd party games after this gen Yes it’s more expensive but tbh if you pay the $80/year for PlayStation online for the entire gen of 6-7 years + the $1000 console you’re not gonna be much far off from PC prices in the long term anyway lol Plus you can always freely upgrade components with PC to keep improving it if you desire to have your build last longer than one console generation
