• 2010: Launched jamylcruz.com with the vision of Truth Marketing—a full-service approach that ensures authenticity, transparency, and genuine connection are at the heart of every campaign. • Navigated pandemic challenges and lost a major client, which prompted a renewed focus on evolving strategies and staying ahead of shifts in the digital landscape. • Began exploring the creator economy, incorporating new tools and platforms to help clients engage audiences more effectively. • Started writing regularly, refining a unique brand voice that emphasizes honesty, meaningful storytelling, and real connections. • Secured two new clients, drawn by the promise of a Truth Marketing approach that grounds every project in the brand’s core values while also driving measurable growth. • January 2025: Celebrated signing a major new client, underscoring the ongoing relevance and impact of a marketing philosophy built on truth.

Most businesses fail the same way cities used to fall. Not because enemies were strong. Because the watchman fell asleep. In Isaiah 21, the watchman says: “I stand continually on the watchtower… and remain at my post every night.” That is the posture of great builders. A real leader is a watchman. You watch your market. You watch your culture. You watch your finances. You watch your team. You watch your own character. You don’t wait for collapse before you pay attention. The best founders I’ve observed do this instinctively. They notice small signals early. A slight drop in customer trust. A subtle shift in team morale. A creeping arrogance after success. A slow drift in company mission. Average leaders ignore these signs. Watchmen catch them early. Another lesson from the chapter: While Babylon was falling, people were still eating and drinking at the feast. Comfort is often the moment when collapse begins. Good leaders stay alert even when things are going well. Three watchman habits for business: 1.Guard your inner life. Pride, greed, and ego destroy more companies than competition. 2.Stay close to truth. Data, honest feedback, and reality checks are your tower. 3.Stand your post daily. Leadership is not intensity once a quarter. It is awareness every day. The most flexible system wins. But the most awake leader builds the system. Stay awake. Stay watchful. Protect what you are building.

The problem is that you don't know what you want to do, and figuring out what you want to do requires learning, experimentation, and effort - so you do nothing.

The richest people I know go from idea to action immediately. Stop spending 2 hours picking a logo, name and domain. Learn how to move fast. Non essential decisions should be decided on instantly without a second thought opening up more time to focus on what matters.

You don't need to focus harder. Focus is the byproduct of a lack of distractions. You simply need to be in the right environment (mentally and physically) and have a clear set of tasks that you have the knowledge and skill to execute. Ignore everything but that.

Wrong: "The purpose of the first line is to get people to read the second" Right: "The purpose of the first line is to only get your ideal customer to read the second"

Great content isn’t creative —it’s convicted. If your team doesn’t know the deeper truth your company stands for, your marketing will always depend on someone else’s template.

Freedom on social media is underrated. If you want to hit 10K MRR—post. If you want to build influence—speak. If you want to test an idea—launch it. Stop waiting for permission. The algorithm isn’t your boss.

Do whatever you want. When you do, you will make mistakes. At that point, if you are smart, you no longer want it, and begin to slowly course correct toward what you really want. If you always do what others want for you, you will never discover what you want.

People drastically underestimate how much one single hour per day on 1-2 needle-moving tasks can compound. It doesn't feel like much each day, and it can be demotivating, but sometimes an hour is all you have, and 365+ hours can build something incredible.

Making money online is simple. Pick an outcome people care about. Identify the problems standing in the way. Solve the problems. Name your solutions. Create an offer around it. Write content and emails to promote it. After that it's just about staying consistent.
