I just need to emphasise how IMPORTANT is that Gray is the one who kissed first (even as a mouth to mouth).

It's very out of character for her. On 100YQ alone we have Juvia losing her shit because Gray said he was his power to live. Locking lips is nuclear compared to this. And yet, they just go on with their fight. No extra, no fuss.

and i love how she's very clear about it since she joined FT. she knows she can kick ass, but she actively chooses to only use her power to protect the people she cares about, not to seek fame or glory. she already had that as part of the element 4 and it didn't make her happy.

i really love the consistent concept of juvia being the epitome of a protector. even in her very first appearance, she said she didn’t want to fight gray and would rather protect him instead. she always shows up out of nowhere just to help and protect the people she cares about.
