@deveritt_uk @alphasixtyfive @home_assistant Now I’m back out on my MTB doing ~50-100 miles a week, I find myself not using my walking pad as much much, but my desk is mostly if not always standing position these days!

No choice here but to stand for meetings, paired with a bluetooth headset, see's me wondering around the garden at times and others I get on average 200 extra steps a day whilst pacing

Before I get too deep into this video, am I missing any big players in the LTE/Cloud dashcam market? As far as I can tell Ring Car Cam is discontinued.

Have to second Tado here. They have wide range of support, UFH, AC, in room thermostat along with TRVs. I don’t mind they are cloud, I don’t pay for their premium features as I recreated them already via HA but I also have HomeKit as a fallback. Mind you I also have Unift LTE as my own fallback and can’t honestly recall a time I’ve found Tado services offline.

First new house home automation question… What thermostat are you all using? I used to have a Nest but want something local first now. @home_assistant compatible of course. Will be installing TRVs as well, but one thing at a time …

@adrian I opted for d-shape cable clips. This means that I can angle the strip upwards. This creates a better glow around the desk and shifts the light above the desk rather than below it. I also spaced the clips so that the LEDs were not covered.

@jorisroovers @mr_ajfriesen @j_kettmann Yeo, love mine. 5-8 miles a day, four days a week. I walk whilst I get my admin done in the morning after which I either continue to stand or sit down full of energy and focus.

@mr_ajfriesen @j_kettmann Both myself and @jamescallaghan have had one for years. I can wholeheartedly recommend it, still use it frequently (although currently in storage for house move). I don’t think it’s loud at all , but it makes *some* noise of course.

Walked 15.86km / 9.85mi and burned ~1100cal today while working at my desk. Tasks: - replied to 20 emails from waitlist subscribers - fixed a bug in my GitHub bot - ideated new landing pages - made progress with solution video of task 13 (select component) for my course

@tomasmcguinness Are you sure it’s the fitting and not the fitting on the bath itself?

Need some advice. How the trap under my bath is leaking. The water is coming from this connection to the waste. I’ve put PTFE around the waste and tightening it as best I can. It still leaks.
