@DrRJWebb The bottom line is that on average, doctors are paid better and have better study cost support from their deaneries (as trainees) and Trusts (as consultants). If we want to encourage MDT learning at events, we have to accept that our nursing colleagues may need costs to be lower.

@jamesedelman I’d start with options like: Student, FY1/Band 5, FY2/Band 6, ST1-2/Band 7, ST3-5/Band 8A, ST7-8/Band 8B, Consultant/Band 8C+. It wouldn’t be hard, people could show this easily if challenged. Doesn’t account for LTFT but this would be a fairer starting point.

My standard periodic rant about disparity in course and conference costs. Just been invited to a course: £20 consultants, £15 trainees, free for nurses and rest of MDT. Nope.

@DrRJWebb I take your point, but this is 7 ticket categories for a conference. Add in single day and two day options for a multi day event for each price range and you’re up to 14 ticket options. And doesn’t account for most trainees having generous study budgets, and nurses having none.
