Human Rights are a Red Line for the Chinese Communist Party.

The Chinese Communist Party is in a panic.

Anyone who has read a defense paper on China has probably heard the theory of a rising power and a fading power, and how empires fall. The CCP’s military thinkers believed the United States was on the decline. They thought it was time for the so-called “rise of China.” And they were mistaken. The world got to see the true stripes of the CCP’s paper tiger, just before the figures involved were purged in fear and fury.

And it didn’t stop there. Key leaders in the Chinese military, tied to major defense programs, are being purged. And the scale of the purges are so severe that, even publicly, it’s doubted whether the CCP could even fight a war. At least for now.

Like with Venezuela, the CCP’s air defense systems in Iran failed. This included the JY-27 radars, but even the CCP’s air defense missiles and coveted anti-ship missiles were shown to be effectively useless. They were taken out by American stealth attacks and precision strikes. And for the CCP, the pain went deeper. The weapons believed to put the CCP’s military on par with the US proved to be nothing more than an illusion. A test flight of the CCP’s touted fifth-generation fighter jet, the J-20, blew up during a flight in front of Xi Jinping.

What happened wasn’t just a failure of military technology. It wasn’t even about a decade-long plan to divide and defeat America blowing up overnight. It was something much deeper. It showed a key military theory failed to materialize.

In Venezuela, the first thing to fail were the Chinese air defense systems. Not only did they fail to stop U.S. warplanes—they failed to stop the helicopters carrying U.S. Special Operations Forces who then captured the country’s leader. And after, Trump put an ultimatum on Venezuela: if they want their oil industry back—they need to push Russia, Iran, and the CCP out. And around the same time, he put in place another plan to restore the Monroe Doctrine. American dominance in the Americas was back.

All the pieces were in place for the CCP. But then, that grand strategy just got blown out of the water like a Venezuelan four-engine fishing boat. What Jin and Xi didn’t anticipate was for the United States to make a sudden and aggressive comeback and for their tech to fail.

The plan: - conflict with Russia - conflict in Latin America - chaos in America - ensure the US was busy fighting terrorists We saw this all happen: Ukraine, Venezuela, Iran, CCP funding tied to the chaos on US streets, the fentanyl crisis killing thousands of Americans. Taken individually, any of these wars or threats is pretty serious. But beyond all of it, there’s the CCP’s much broader strategies. An intent to spur these on, to keep them going, to make sure America is distracted. To ensure our military is divided, our weapons are drained.
