@BikeOttawa And the bike valet crew saved our bacon by having a chain break so a broken chain on the way to Bluesfest could be fixed for a seamless ride home. Thanks to the team there for the support!

Getting busier at Bluesfest. Come by bike. It’s easy, fast, convenient and free. Take advantage of it. Show that the whole city bikes places. Psst! We do take donations. #ottbike #ottbikepark

A visit with the 17th Ottawa Cub Pack. Thanks to the Cubs for helping out by shoveling snow onto the trail! #community

I hope the Ottawa press gallery doesn’t shrug this one off as something “politicians just do.” It should never be. I hope the origins of this story are pursued vigorously… I hope PP is held to account theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…

@PaperBagEric Wow. Totally out of step with a decarbonized grid.

@BikeOttawa I was at Percy bike lane heading north at Catherine waiting on 3 dots. I am fully cognizant of revert reds but shifted my weight from one foot to other while waiting. That triggered the revert red, so I missed my green. Come on, more signs #autowa?

A simultaneous 30°C anomaly in the Arctic and 40°C anomaly in the Antarctic, among the most terrifying events scientists have recorded, was a footnote in the bulletins. One celeb slapping another: headlines everywhere. This is the way the world ends, not with a bang but a bant.

From 1970-2020, the cost to install solar energy dropped from $105 per watt down to... 20 cents. Our latest podcast asks: how did solar get so gosh-darn cheap? Listen now: bit.ly/3qjwxEc

@smccarthy55 Or banks need to call in loans on these. Most rigs are not paid for I am sure. Banks/lenders likely own a great %. So, anyone staying involved in this will lose their equity.

Don’t you have to have a commercial license to operate a tractor trailer? And don’t you have to operate the vehicle in safe manner to keep your license? No trucker who has blockaded roads and highways shld keep their licenses.

Are most of these big rig trucks not with major bank loans? Time for the banks and lenders to step up and threaten to call in these loans. These are expensive assets not meant for this purpose… leverage that.

If you want cyclists to go on the green, perhaps, and hear me out, you should give them a green light. #revertred is a broken system for everyone not in a car.
Kate Porter@KatePorter613

Transportation committee rejects Leiper's move to eliminate "revert red" technology at intersections in a 7 to 4 vote. Traffic services' Phil Landry, said, #ottcity doesn't want to go down a path where cyclists think it's okay to cross before the light is green. #ottnews

@JLeiper @BikeOttawa Thank you Jeff. You presented this argument so well. How the message was not heard is beyond me.
