@HolmesTW @thedailymash Same here. Previously never watched a TV series in my life. Did the whole lot, now on Better Call Saul.

@thedailymash We have discovered Breaking Bad, so not a complete waste, then

Slightly blown away by the size of the magazine racks in @Tesco Corby. Bravo! Great to see a major retailer supporting the mag industry with a whole aisle dedicated to printed #magazines 👏

@tomwookieford @nickdeacon71 @JLeightonPhoto @RoadHouseMotor The lights make it look like a Truly Nolen truck

Aww. My old 300TE. Another car bought from @nickdeacon71 and eventually sold to @JLeightonPhoto . Lights and rack were off the NotDakar BMW X6 (I need to post about that!). Had some good times in this. @RoadHouseMotor supplied the wheels (which I loved). 😉

@AndrewBoxThomas Looking forward to watching your homesteading channel on YouTube

RIP Florian Schneider. This is what true innovation sounds like.
BBC Archive@BBCArchive
Florian Schneider, co-founder of highly influential electronic pop group Kraftwerk, has died at the age of 73. Here’s a clip of the group showing Tomorrow’s World their studio back in 1975. For more archive clips of electronic music, you can visit - bbc.co.uk/archive/electr…

@matty_prior Looks a bit under-motored. Otherwise, excellent idea.

@TheDanProsser Beats the shit out of my pseudo-science nonsense.
English

@jameslipman It’s a good theory, though I prefer mine: at that time of day, after spectating for many hours, everyone is completely hammered.

Why do rally cars always sound better at night?
chris harris@harrismonkey
The @Tuthill_Porsche RGT. Volume UP!!
English

@TheDanProsser Night air is generally cooler, and thus denser, than daytime air. Sound travels further ('better') through denser air. Add into this that there is generally less background noise and fewer visual distractions at night, and it's all adds up to a bit more fizz on the senses.

@OctaneMark @Airfix @octane_magazine @MrJamesMay I remember this article. It had never occurred to me that these all came from one person. The artwork absolutely brings the product to life - I think Airfix owe every ounce of their success to Roy.
English

Mention on a friend's Facebook page of the great @Airfix box-art painter Roy Cross reminds me of the time I interviewed him for @octane_magazine. It's rumoured that @MrJamesMay owns the original B17 artwork.

@DickieMeaden @matty_prior It was just to juxtapose with the Raptor. No plans to actually use it.
English

@jameslipman @matty_prior Hopefully you’d shoot the 2CV and then set fire to it

@WillBeaumont Looks great Will. What colour did you go with? I have an IWL Berlin that I painted RAF Blue-Gray and it looks similar.
English

@PawnSacrifice @harrismonkey Spot on. Bought my first 911 (a '72 911T) back before prices went nuts, and it was a lot more fun being able to track it, thrash around in the snow, etc. Also less to insure, and no worry leaving it places overnight. Sold it when I stopped feeling comfortable using it like that.
English

@harrismonkey In a strange way, I quite like the idea of my '81 SC being worth relatively little again, it gets dailyed and tracked, but come restoration time (it's up next) there'll be no psychological barrier to doing what I want - not a Safari.
English

@leolebkuchen You have to literally unlearn your entire user interface experience and enter another psychological dimension. It's why architects all drive Saabs and Alfa Romeos, dress socks first, and can't load a dishwasher during a full moon.

@BahnstormerTom @DanWRAlcock Mercury Marauder, please. If only for its name.
