I tweet this every so often just because it is wonderful. I think it's time again.

Strange how chaos and random mess can sometimes be quite beautiful (this is orange icing).

@rowenamezzo Oh my goodness I am so glad everything is all right. I have to admit to being wary of candles, beautiful though they are...

Shaky start to Sunday. Woke to the sound of an alarm and loud voices. Fire in one of the two top-floor flats. Apparently someone had left a candle burning and gone out… wonderful firemen had to break down their door to get in. Luckily not too serious…

Hello, it’s a look back at my embroidery, Transcend, for you today. Completely freehand stitched in July 2025. Fingers crossed it’s sends good vibes to my daughter for her ballet exam tomorrow too! I hope you enjoy… 😊🪡🌿🩰 #stitchedart #thesewingsongbird

@Benregis1 I twice saw him conduct the music of his friend Leonard Bernstein shortly after his death - 'On The Town' and 'Chichester Psalms'. Both understandably highly emotional occasions.

Many years ago I was at a concert featuring Michael Tilson Thomas. It was memorable, not least because it's the only concert I've ever attended where the performer insisted partway through that the piano should be re-tuned. latimes.com/entertainment-…

The 3rd book in a row written by a friend - first @hannahcfrench’s brilliant book on Vivaldi, @JLloydWebber’s fascinating autobiography & now this affectionate & often hilarious book about @2MoorsFestival written by the powerhouse that is Penny Adie. All highly recommended!

@FriseSally That must be quite a sight. I bought a jar of the jelly from Tiptree, but then sadly had to give it away as a last minute Christmas present! I really must replace it, but meanwhile their medlar jelly has been sublime. 😋

@jamesmeredithd1 Our crab apple tree is wonderful. It’s very old and very large. Sadly no-one seems to make the jelly nowadays

@FriseSally It doesn't take much to make a beautiful effect. Meanwhile the apple blossom is getting out and enjoying the sunshine...

@jamesmeredithd1 Thank you, James. This is a simple little plant but glows in its innocence. I just love it.

@RichardBratby It's astonishing that line drawings and a cuddly toy can achieve more than all the CGI cleverness in the world.

@FriseSally It must make all the difference to a dog with not much padding of fur to have something comfy to lie on. Katie spent most of her time in later years on my bed in a nest I made for her of pillows and fleece blankets. Happy retirement!

@jamesmeredithd1 When we took Cider dog to the bistro in Mosles I always folded my coat for him to rest on under the table. The floor was cold and very hard, Cider slim and muscular with short fur. He really did appreciate it. He never moved whilst we ate but knew that he would have his treat
