Attempting to measure respiratory variations of transvalvular flow for a patient with a moderate sized pericardial effusion - so cool to assess tamponade physiology in real-time. Have learned an incredible amount on my @ubcimpocus elective - can't recommend it enough!

Finally managed to ✅ Mt Brunswick off the hiking bucket list!

I can’t recommend an ICU elective as a medical student enough. I have learned as much about open communication, patient advocacy, and empathy as I have expanded my medical knowledge. It has changed my perspective on medicine and how we best serve our patients for the better!

A couple days away to disconnect and commemorate a close friend was the perfect end to holidays. Feeling recharged and ready to tackle 4th year!
