Someone at Meta actually wrote this down “We will launch during a dynamic political environment where many civil society groups that we would expect to attack us would have their resources focused on other concerns” nytimes.com/2026/02/13/tec…

Case in point my first reaction to this viral blogpost supposedly written by a clawdbot mad about being kicked off github is that there's some guy behind it with a startup to promote archive.ph/4CHyg

The lesson of Moltbook is that for the next few years humans will do a bunch of online stunts pretending to be AI in order to get Twitter clout and then there'll be an actual Skynet moment and everyone will be like "yeah yeah just another mechanical turk looking for retweets"

I’m the CEO of a hot dog company. I’ve worked on hot dogs for 10 years. And *I* wasn’t prepared for what I’ve just seen. Your life is about to change. So what can you do? Buy as many hot dogs as you can. Buy stock in hot dog companies.

@Birdyword No X article the algo shows me remotely passes for being human written. Which is impressive because it would mean xAI has accidentally developed the first software that can reliably tell if something is written by an LLM

The average quality of native articles on X (the long embedded ones) is so bad that I can barely bring myself to click on them even when someone I trust has told me the content is good. An almost pure anti-signal for quality, like letters written in green ink.

It's depressing how widely shared and read this is. It's AI-generated word salad posted by someone with a vested interest in spreading AI hype. AI is "big," I guess, but its effects will be much more complicated and variegated than this "essay" implies.

One of the side effects of seeing a lot of obviously AI-generated writing (thank you, X articles) is having a much lower tolerance for bad writing overall. Eyes start suddenly glazing over at any mid speech/blog because you assume it's going to be devoid of substance
