I’m puzzled by why only one angle of it was shown and why the referee has so quickly given that after what looks like a single viewing of the incident. It may well have hit his hand but it feels like a quick turnaround for a decision of that magnitude.

James Tavernier was not starting tonight, coming on from the bench at some point being the plan. Tav was upset at this, and has withdrawn from the squad and understand he is not currently at Ibrox. The club were due to make a presentation tonight which they remain open to doing so.

My understanding is Tav was disappointed to not be starting tonight and withdrew. Danny Rohl had picked the team as normal and Tav was likely to come on as sub. The club had planned a prematch presentation and sendoff for Tav and remain open to it. No word on Saturday yet.
