@alexlindsay This is well over due. Apps have become a necessity like electricity or water. Put a corporate entity who is only interested in profit.. and you get something like apple or other examples of run away greed and corruption. This was inevitable.

In regards to the DOJ vs Apple, we should ask ... In an election year, why did they pick Apple instead of, say, Ticketmaster (which is a much clearer win and would immediately impact consumers). Could it be campaign fundraising?

@MichaelWestBiz @MrRexPatrick Q: large contracts between commercial entities you have penalties if you fail to deliver on time, and in the end the company could end up owning the contractor due to the penalties. Why do gov just keep paying and not penalise the entities that breached the contract conditions??

@MichaelWestBiz @MrRexPatrick Stinks of kickbacks and rorts. The gov really need an accountability check and rules to stop this crap. Aukas will never happen. China is cactus, way before arkus is ready we will no longer need it. Cut losses spend 100b on drone dev locally. It's the future.

@bushcarer17 The government is on trial here. My main interest is if the gov can get away with such obvious lies and deception. (Corruption) For eg the M.Cash tape. Not allowed into evidence as some underlying has disappeared of the face of the earth and cannot give consent.

Richard Williams OBE - I voted YES
Is it actually Brittany Higgins who is on trial in Canberra? I foolishly thought it was Channel 10 and Lisa Wilkinson being tested for allegedly defaming Bruce. The prolonged questioning of BH is absolutely appalling and obscene. Our justice system is completely broken imo!

@alexlindsay I would want to know exactly what secrets went down and would be reluctant to support Aldman until transparency. He did something to make this happen. I'm my view Altmans performance has not been much more then self serving and overblown resulting in another market bubble.

If I was on the OpenAI board... I would resign just to get out of the spotlight... and hope people slowly forget that I was part of creating one of the most amazing implosions in tech history.

@TonyHWindsor We headed to a minority gov next election. Lnp has shown to be beyond anyone's expectation in the amount of corruption. Labour are better but clearly following the same path. Band failing on the number 1 promos. Only path left is independants with strong stance on anti corruption

What’s going on with the Federal Labor Govt? If we wanted a Liberal Party I’m sure the majority would have voted for one. US policy,China policy,Climate policy! More Independent/crossbench next election.

@patrickvons Cineworld and misinformed headlines. Patrick, it's only reporters doing their job when a company like Cineworld goes into admin and the business it's in is still showing extraordinarily low business levels compared to pre pandemic.. question of viability remain.

@patrickvons All I can say is the unic report is a very pushed glass half full report. And so far this year 2023, even with all this hyped up films and back to pre pandemic level of blockbuster content.. my region is tracking to same BO as 2022. Films are holding the super soft trend.

@barriecassidy Is this not according to the libs play book, stack ABC with people, degrade it to a lifestyle channel, kills rating and slide in sky news in to replace ABC24. Sounds like it's going according to plan.

#insiders productivity is flat because gov enforcement is non existent. I have tried to introduce productivity technologies into the industry I work in only to be smashed by the encumbents using clearly illigal behaviour. And the ACCC/ASIC does nothing.

@patrickvons So, is he saying, if you expect a prolong strike, then expect an impact the theatrical. Umm. There is a lot at stake and a huge change in how the industry works based on the strike. I tend to expect a prolong strike due to this.

The Hollywood writers' strike will not impact the 2023/2024 slate of films, says AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron. "I think only a very prolonged writers strike would have a material impact on the movie industry or AMC,” he added. lnkd.in/ehzu7tx7

@patrickvons Yes. It has not been fun in exhibition for the last 6-7 weeks. 2022 was significantly better then 2023 so far in my region. Let along wishing for 2019 levels. Wick4 and d&d better explode with admitions, otherwise we are trending to lower then 2022 this year.

All I can say is the Murdock based reporters have not done there geopolitical homework on China. Opinions appear more political in nature then realistic of China's likely options in terms of war. #insiders

"sounds like an arm's race." Obviously David s. But it's a limited one. China is imploding population wise and will likely invade Russia when it gets desperate. But really, China is going the way of Russia. A nusense more then a world threat. It will just take 10+years #insiders

The price of the subs is unrealistic. All I can think is that it also covers numerous black ops commitments we will never know about in the deal. It's not a good deal, the u.s. needs subs in this region anyway. Why are we paying so much for what the u.s. needs anyway #insiders

@patrickvons Netflix and how they treat cinema is ALL about disrupting cinema. Getting media like this is playing into Netflix hands. The more cinema erodes is bank for Netflix. Let's just accept this and move on and not feed the monster.

MailChimp just killed their service by lowering the free tier to 500, likely killing off most of the free users. 500 users and 1000 emails per month limit is game over. Time to look for an alternative. #mailchimp #fail
