I used to own a facebook page “Babies Are Beautiful” that earns me about $100k monthly between 2015 - 2017. I had about 8.7 million followers which made it then the page with the highest followership owned by a Nigerian. This page’s revenue part funded the early development and growth of educare. In 2017, I woke up to the sad news that it has been suspended with all my other facebook pages. This was a turning point in my life. I learnt the hard lesson that you can’t build a sustainable business on another persons infrastructure. I used my savings to double down on educare’s development to grow it rapidly. Educare then saved me which is my single best decision. Since then I stopped facebook permanently. The best thing is to invest and build products like Twitch just like how Elon owns X. That’s the only way he can guarantee sustainable success. Moving to another platform will still cause him pain.
