The pace of your writing is not indicative of the quality of your writing.

Giving yourself grace when this happens means acknowledging that yes, disruptions suck, but adjusting your plan accordingly doesn't make you a bad scholar.

There will always be circumstances that disrupt your work - for better or for worse.

Successful planning requires a high level of self-compassion.
