As always schools for #worldbookday please encourage pyjamas and bringing favourite books. Costumes are expensive and often end up in landfill. The stats on how many children don’t have books in their homes are rather sad. Let’s not have parents waste money. #booksnotcostumes

It is the last day of #FebMusicChallenge26 so we are going #retro with our choices and we are going big. Thanks as always for joining in, it is the ten year anniversary next year. Little did I know it would last that long.

Wrote this with @BarlowCaroline a few of years ago. The challenges around inclusion haven’t changed, schools that are inclusive are still punished both financially and in terms of accountability measures. The big challenge of inclusion is one of culture. schoolsweek.co.uk/send-inclusion…

Our #FebMusicChallenge26 them today is all about the young people, full details on the graphic. For the younger people that take part you could choose younger siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews etc. My own choice below.

@llewelyn20 We still do this in our Local Authority. The advisory team carefully match mentors - it's brilliant. It's tricky to build up networks - I have found it more challenging in my second headship .

When I first became a Head, I wanted someone to call about stupid little things. Also, someone completely objective and nonjudgmental to visit my school and tell me what they saw. No agenda, no personal bias, but helpful suggestions. I'm thinking of starting something like this.

Our #FebMusicChallenge26 takes us to the movies today and our favourite songs from films that arent musicals or based upon musicians. I have a couple of choices today :-)

Introducing little Kiko Braganza! Pakora hasn't met him yet as we are slowly integrating him into the house. The kids love him.
