I was SO excited to create the Pursuit episode featuring John Adams! Here’s what most people don’t know: it was John Adams who fought for the Declaration of Independence. It was John Adams who chose Thomas Jefferson to write it. It was John Adams who believed George Washington should lead the army. In Episode 02 of The Pursuit, I wanted to show why this moment belongs to John Adams—because before there was a mission statement, before there was a revolution people truly believed in, there was one man who kept fighting for it until everyone else caught up. I wasn’t looking for an actor. I was looking for lightning. When @carternelms came across the screen, it hit me immediately — the passion, the drama, and the electricity.
