250 years ago, a single sheet of parchment changed the course of human history. Last night, on the National Mall, America celebrated it in full with Salute to America. There, President Trump said, “We may be the oldest constitutional republic on Earth, but our country is just getting started because the best is yet to come.” 🇺🇸 Continue celebrating our great country by attending the Great American State Fair through July 10th.

For 16 days, America came together. From all 50 states and 6 territories, we gathered in our nation’s capital to celebrate 250 years of American greatness. We rode the Ferris wheel at the Great American State Fair. We watched the rodeo, sang along to our favorite songs, and stood shoulder to shoulder with strangers who became our neighbors. And on the 4th of July, President Trump gave us the greatest celebration of America ever, with military flyovers shaking the sky and fireworks lighting up the night. 250 years ago, our founders pledged everything to the values we celebrated here: faith, family, freedom, service, and innovation. This summer, we proved those values are still alive. Happy birthday, America. Here’s to the next 250.

Finally got to see the Texas state exhibit and meet new friends

Last week’s drone show in the skies above Tokyo’s iconic Rainbow Bridge was an unforgettable finale to our celebration of America’s 250th birthday. Independence Day might be over, but our @Freedom250 festivities continue!

The team and I loved spending time at the Great American State Fair talking with @KatiePavlich about NASA’s exciting road ahead and meeting so many people at the NASA booth. There’s nothing better than seeing the excitement for exploration firsthand. The future is bright🚀

America’s 250th birthday reminds us that every generation is called to build on the legacy of those who came before them. @POTUS honoring Apollo 17’s Jack Schmitt alongside the Artemis II crew was a fitting tribute to America’s past…and the explorers who will help shape its future. 🇺🇸🚀
