ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios has started replacing many of the game’s AI-generated voice lines with recordings from real voice actors after backlash from players. At launch, the extraction shooter used AI text-to-speech for some in-game dialogue, which sparked criticism from fans who felt it reduced opportunities for real performers. Now the studio says many of those lines have been re-recorded with human actors, and CEO Patrick Söderlund admitted the new recordings are simply “better” than the AI versions. The big question now: Should games use Al voices at all, or stick to real actors 💬 #ArcRaiders
