@ayanematrix Poor fairy girl, but honestly, I like that idea too, A rescue scene could be really fun, especially if another fairy accidentally ends up getting muddy or stuck while trying to help her!

@japier93 I say that this poor cutie needs to be rescued. More chances to show off her muddy look after rescue and, possibly, get another fairy muddy in the process!

Fairy Girl Escaping One Hungry Trap into Another!! A curious fairy girl still finds herself trapped by sticky white orbs and powerful tendrils wrapped tightly around her legs. She struggles desperately to escape, but the sticky restraints refuse to let her move freely. While panicking and looking around for any possible way out, she notices a large leaf above her filled with rainwater left behind from the storm that passed through the forest two days ago. To her, it becomes a small glimmer of hope. She quickly searches her surroundings for something she can throw and notices a branch behind her. She tries to grab it, but her arms are also stuck by the sticky orbs, barely allowing movement. Her right arm is not restrained as tightly as her left, however, and with tremendous effort, she manages to grab a tiny splinter from the branch. She throws it toward the leaf, but misses completely because of the sticky restraints limiting her movement. Despair begins filling her mind as the tendrils continue tightening around her legs and dragging her deeper into the hungry plant’s maw until she sinks down to her knees. Refusing to give up, she decides to try one more time. With even greater effort, she grabs another splinter from the same branch. This time, she closes her eyes and forces herself to calm down, slowly inhaling and exhaling while the hungry plant continues swallowing her lower body and tightening around her legs, pulling her slightly above the knees. After calming herself, she opens her eyes again and throws the splinter with much greater force despite the sticky restraints still clinging partially to her right arm. This time, she finally hits the target. The leaf tips over, pouring rainwater directly onto both the fairy and the hungry plant below. The water weakens the sticky orbs covering her body, allowing her to finally free herself from them. For a brief moment, the fairy feels relieved and immediately tries escaping from the tendrils. However, she quickly realizes two horrifying things. First, it is already too late. Her legs are completely restrained by the tendrils, making escape extremely difficult. Second, freeing herself from the sticky orbs actually helps the hungry plant devour her faster. Without the sticky restraints holding her in place, gravity immediately pulls her body deeper into the plant’s maw. The fairy instantly panics and desperately tries everything she can think of. She attempts to fly, kicks her legs wildly, twists her thighs and hips in every direction possible, but nothing works. The tendrils continue coiling higher around her lower body until they reach her waist. She keeps trying the same desperate movements, even twisting her entire body, but still cannot escape. The hungry plant continues swallowing her deeper and deeper until it reaches beneath her chest. More droplets continue falling from the leaves above, splashing onto both her and the plant. In desperation, another idea suddenly comes to her mind. She decides to grab the branch and use it as a weapon to damage the hungry plant enough to force it to release her. But by now, it is almost too late. The tendrils begin wrapping around her arms as well. Her right arm is dragged partially into the hungry plant’s maw, making it almost impossible to free. She desperately struggles to release her arms while the plant continues devouring her body deeper and deeper. By pure luck, she barely manages to free her left arm for a moment and reaches another fragment from the same branch, even while the tendrils begin restraining her left arm again. Like before, the broken splinter has tiny sharp edges at its tip. Using the sharp splinter, the fairy begins stabbing and slashing at the tendrils restraining her body. To her surprise, it actually hurts the hungry plant. The fairy is fortunate that this particular species of hungry plant is different from others. Despite lacking a brain, it is extremely sensitive, and the damage she causes sends pain signals throughout its nervous system. The living trap intentionally weakens itself in response to the pain. The tendrils suddenly stop tightening and loosen their grip. Taking advantage of the opportunity, the fairy finally frees her right arm and drops the splinter. She places both hands against the edge of the hungry plant’s maw and pushes herself upward with all the remaining strength in her exhausted body, freeing her waist, chest, hips, and thighs. She then pulls her right leg free and places it against the edge of the maw as leverage before finally managing to completely escape the hungry plant. But before she can properly recover, her fear and desperation overwhelm her. The fairy loses balance and falls downward from the giant plant. She cannot fly because the tendrils had also restrained and damaged her wings, and they will need time to recover before functioning properly again. Thankfully, she crashes through several large leaves before falling directly into a hollow area hidden beneath the forest floor. Because of her small size and the soft muddy earth beneath her, the fall does not seriously injure her. Relieved and happy to finally be free, the fairy slowly stands back up and decides to rest somewhere safe while waiting for her wings to recover. As another droplet of water falls directly onto her head from above, she quietly realizes something important. Instead of feeling annoyed, she becomes grateful for the storm from two days earlier. Without the lingering rainwater and falling droplets, she never would have escaped the hungry plant alive. Although still completely soaked, the fairy begins walking through the forest in search of shelter or a safe hiding place to rest. However, after walking only a short distance, she notices that moving feels strangely difficult. Looking downward, she realizes her feet are stuck in the ground itself. Confused, she tries walking toward a nearby rocky surface, but cannot even take a proper step. Her feet refuse to come free no matter how hard she struggles. Already exhausted from escaping the hungry plant, the fairy has very little strength remaining. She repeatedly attempts lifting one leg after another, but nothing works. Still confused, she continues struggling until exhaustion finally forces her to stop and catch her breath. That is when she notices something horrifying. She feels herself slowly moving downward. Looking below, she realizes the muddy ground has already swallowed her legs up to the knees. Terrified, the fairy finally understands the truth. This is not ordinary mud... IT IS QUICKSAND!! The heavy rain from two days earlier soaked the dry muddy ground and transformed it into deep sticky quicksand. Even after two full days, the mud never completely dried. Panic immediately returns. The fairy desperately tries lifting one knee after another repeatedly, but fails every single time. The sticky quicksand slowly swallows her thighs while her desperation grows stronger and stronger. In panic, she tries everything possible to escape. She lifts her thighs, twists her hips, and even moves her arms around to generate more force for her legs, hoping she can pull herself free. But despite all her desperate efforts, the sticky quicksand continues pulling her deeper while thick mud clings tightly around her legs, thighs, and hips like glue. She cannot escape. The mud is simply too sticky. If it were not for the unnatural stickiness, she probably could have escaped already. Meanwhile, water droplets continue falling into the quicksand around her, causing muddy splashes to erupt everywhere. Several splashes strike her body, coating her stomach, chest, waist, and lower body with mud while the quicksand slowly swallows her hips. Although the fairy desperately tries calming herself down again, the constant muddy splashes only increase her panic and pressure. Eventually, she completely loses control and begins thrashing randomly in desperation, wildly moving her arms, hips, waist, and chest in every direction possible. But her panic only makes the situation worse. Her random struggling causes her body to sink even deeper while mud splashes all over her body. Now, even if her wings recover, she will not be able to fly because her wings themselves have already been swallowed beneath the quicksand. Not only her wings, but now even her arms are beginning to sink beneath the sticky mud as well. The thick quicksand clings tightly against her body and has already reached the lower part of her stomach, just beneath her belly button. The little fairy girl is now in serious trouble. And this is where the illustration ends. QUESTIONS: What do you think the fairy girl should do to escape the thick sticky quicksand? Will something happen that could save her? Or will this finally be the end for her after surviving the hungry plant? Feel free to share your thoughts and theories in the comments! I’d love to read them! :D This illustration was commissioned by an anonymous client who requested the use of my fairy OC, who still does not have an official name yet. I truly want to thank the anonymous commissioner for giving me the opportunity to create both this illustration and its story. I genuinely enjoyed working on this piece and its story very much. Honestly, making this illustration gave me a lot of nostalgia because it reminded me of the stories I used to create for my very first illustrations. Here posting a status update for the first time. And for the first time too, I’m going to write a lot about myself (mostly because I spent around 2 years without really talking about myself at all). You can call me Japier, that’s my nickname, and I prefer to keep my personal life private, Nice to meet you all! My main interest is quicksand content. I also just want to say that I’m doing okay, even if lately I’ve been frustrated because I haven’t had much time to draw. Thankfully, that probably won’t last much longer, because in about a month I’ll finally have a lot more free time. I want to use that as a second chance to become more active again and really be part of this community. Honestly, I still feel frustrated about what happened before. I disappeared for a long time because something kept slowing me down during my commission process. Sometimes it felt ridiculous, But I remember taking almost an hour just to do a few simple lineart strokes. Maybe it was laziness, maybe burnout, maybe something mental, but honestly I still don’t fully understand why it kept happening to me. I’m not a professional artist. Actually, I never was. I learned drawing completely by myself, which is also why I lowered my commission prices to around $20-$30 just to practice and improve. In the end, maybe that decision also affected me negatively, even though I genuinely do need money for real-life needs. Still, I don’t regret lowering my prices, even if that may have contributed to me disappearing for a while. Anyway, I would’ve felt worse charging expensive prices when I still don’t consider myself that good at drawing. What frustrates me the most is not being able to draw as much as I wanted. Right now I either don’t have enough free time, or I draw way too slowly. Especially because I haven’t been able to make my own comics, which is something I really wanted to do (By the way, I'd like to make an animation as anime). So in about a month, I want to start over almost from zero and genuinely try to do better this time. For now, I’m doing commissions so I can be fully prepared for next month. Also, I want to apologize for not always being active or replying quickly, even if you sometimes see me online. If I didn’t answer or left you on read, it’s usually because I’m busy, not because I’m trying to ignore anyone. I hope you can understand. And yes, if I disappeared for over a month without replying before, that really was my fault and my own bad habit. I also don’t mind if people message me again sometimes, honestly, I’d appreciate that. Thank you for the patience and understanding a lot!
