"[In Titus 1:2] Paul speaks of a 'promise' made by God 'before the ages began.' This promise concerns 'eternal life,' and is rooted in God’s unchanging character. It is worth asking, if God makes a promise before time, to whom is he making the promise if not to himself? This is what is meant by the pactum salutis—an intra-Trinitarian plan/promise concerning salvation." –– Jesse Johnson @jarbitro

I will never forget the first time I saw this sign - February 7, 1999. I stepped onto GCC’s campus as a prospective seminary student. It’s still hasn’t set in fully that John MacArthur is no longer the Pastor-Teacher here, even if the sign now reflects that reality. #ShepCon2026

@joe_rigney @Pastor_Gabe EFS is contradicotry, so yes, many EFS proponents hold "one will," and yes that makes EFS impossible. Wilson has taught and blogged on EFS if EFS is defined as trinitarian personal distinctions being relations of authority and submission.

Here are his words, not out of context but in a statement of affirmations and denials on the subject: "We affirm that the Son and Spirit in their respective missions reveal the authority and order of God the Father from all eternity. We deny that within the Godhead this authority and obedience contained any tension, distance, conflict, friction, or resistance whatsoever." A careful eye will not the insertion of authority and obedience into eternal generation there (as he makes clear in that same statement). That is EFS. Taxis = not EFS. Taxis + authority = EFS

It’s very difficult to get so much wrong in one tweet, but Dr. Yarnell was up to the task. 1) As CBS pointed out, Colbert didn’t want to give equal airtime to Talarico’s opponent Jasmine Crockett, and so didn’t broadcast the interview on television. 2) Doug is orthodox on the Trinity, affirming Nicea, Chalcedon, and Westminster straight no chaser. Doug did read Rushdoony with benefit, so he’s closer on that one. But if this is the caliber of theological education and cultural application at Southwestern Seminary, some folks need to be asking for their money back.
Malcolm Yarnell@MusingsOnChrist

Two events yesterday portray alternate futures for American Christianity: 1) a Liberal whose interview was suppressed by media fearful of the State, and 2) a Reconstructionist with errant teachings of the Trinity hosted by the State. Neither “Christian” approach is acceptable.

Baptizing is accomplished by immersion, not pouring. Theology matters and can help us avoid mistakes like this.

Good morning. Saying that God is sovereign over his emotions is incoherent because it implies (1) that God is distinct from his emotions and (2) that God’s emotions are subjects that God rules (and therefore that they are not God). Thank you for your attention to this matter.

If you hadn't been to Fort Sumter in the last 30 years or so, you might not appreciate this story. The sign was along the rocks outside the Fort warning that climate change was raising sea levels and endangering the Fort... the fort could be overcome in a matter of decades, the sign said... a fort that has literally been at sea level for 200 years. Honestly that sign probably did more to mock global warming than "raise awareness"

To those who have visited or attend Christ Church DC this man is familiar. For months he has been treating our worshipers to his limited and repetitive vocabulary. We celebrate the civil magistrate executing their duty to protect our right to worship by arresting William Kelly We thank @AGPamBondi @FBIDirectorKash @KristiNoem for their efforts. @WhiteHouse @DCPoliceDept @ReneeKCarlson @doug_wardlow
Kristi Noem@KristiNoem

William Kelly is being charged with conspiracy to deprive rights, a federal crime, and violating the FACE act 18 USC 248 for his involvement in the St. Paul church riots.

ABOUT FACE: Minnesota AG Keith Ellison has called for the use of the FACE Act to prosecute protests at mosques, according to @FreeBeacon review. Now, Ellison insists the FACE Act shouldn't apply to Don Lemon and comrades' storming of a church. freebeacon.com/democrats/they…
