To the Muslim woman who refused to shake hands with the Crown Prince of Norway during her citizenship ceremony: Norway is not an Islamic country. You refused a simple handshake because it is “haram.” Yet you had no problem accepting refuge in a non-Muslim country, free housing, free food, and welfare paid for by Norwegian taxpayers. This is not integration. This is entitlement. You want the benefits of a Western society while rejecting its most basic social customs. You want the protection and generosity of a non-Muslim nation while refusing to show even minimal respect to its leaders. This level of hypocrisy is becoming impossible to ignore. When you choose to live in another country, you adapt to its culture. You do not demand that the country bend to yours while taking everything it offers. Norway, and every other Western country, should be paying very close attention.

Periodic reminder that Anne Aly rose to prominence, and parleyed her way into parliament, off the back of her work on Islamist de-radicalisation programs. Her core claim was that jihadist radicalisation is driven less by theology than by identity, alienation, racism and social networks. That made her one of the intellectual architects of Australia’s CVE framework used by Home Affairs, police, youth services, schools and NGOs. The CVE system she helped design has cost billions across the West, and basically failed to stop Islamist radicalisation, created a permanent NGO and consultancy industry, and shifted blame away from extremist ideology. British and French security agencies have since moved back toward surveillance, policing, disruption and ideological confrontation. Which leaves the obvious question, if the theory that made her public career has so clearly failed, what exactly has she contributed since beyond reappearing every now and again to call everyone racist?

This just confuses agency with authority. When Protestants say Scripture is self-authenticating, we are not saying the physical book has personal agency, as if paper and ink make decisions. We are saying God’s speech is self-authenticating because God is the speaker. That is why I emphasized in the video (and in prior videos) that the uniqueness of divine speech is central to the sola scriptura discussion. This simply evidences that. The authority belongs to the divine author, not to the material artifact. So “Scripture authenticates itself” means the Scriptures bear the marks and authority of God’s own speech. It terminates in itself. It’s the first rule. And the Spirit enables the Church to recognize that voice.
