A few weeks ago, I posted a list of the top 5 careers of millionaires. Some people were inspired by it, but a lot of people were just angry. Why? Because "teacher" was number 3 on that list.
Yep. TEACHER.
I'm not just talking about professors from Ivy League schools... this includes amazing K-12 teachers from all around the country. No, I'm not saying all teachers are millionaires, but enough of them end up becoming millionaires that they made the list. This data comes from my team's airtight study of 10,167 millionaires. Another fact from our study is that 1/3 of all millionaires never made a six-figure income during their career... not even one year of their careers. In case you're wondering, it wasn't a lucky inheritance that pushed them to millionaire status either, because 79% of millionaires inherited $0.
You see, what you actually DO with the money you make matters more than HOW MUCH money you make. Teachers understand this, because they're used to taking action and following a plan. It's part of their everyday routine. They make plans and then do what it takes to follow them. That kind of simple discipline is what's required to build wealth.
There's a lot more surprising data about millionaires AND my step-by-step, proven plan to become one in my latest book, "Baby Steps Millionaires"
