The purpose of this thread is to keep track of the number of Y/A projects that don’t have a black actress as a lead. Will be updating as we get more casting news. #Wherearetheblackgirls

I don’t even want to take people’s excitement about the Windy Series, but so far Prime hasn’t given us a reason for us to be excited about anything. There are three black characters in the series and two of them are biracial + siblings.

i dont know how you couldn’t tell with the 5,000 book adaptations and the casts for them but amazon prime video streaming service has no intention on a monoracial dark skinned black woman being on any of their casts let alone the face of one.

I think the reason why a lot of still like Y/A and N/A shows is because the actors that are playing these characters are around our age. It’s not like they’re getting offered roles where they can play their age. We were watching Y/A shows when we had no business watching them, so I don’t think we are too old to watch them.

And it’s not me saying it’s not Black love. I call You, Me and Tuscany Black love. I’m just saying, I’ve seen people leave out the part that Stevie is biracial.

I do want people who haven’t read the Windy City series books especially Mile High to know that Stevie is biracial. I’ve seen many people say Black leads, but I don’t want people to be surprised when a biracial woman is cast for the role because part of the storyline involves her biracial identity.

Some people don’t play about their Disney shows. I remember when I said I couldn’t get into the Disney XD shows and people got mad at me. Nowhere in the tweet did I say or imply I thought the shows were shit. I didn’t watch majority of those shows, so I don’t know if they were good or not.

@Kaisa25Gaming You’re show can have a $5 and a dream budget and still produce great messy storylines.

Girl Meets World had the potential to be great. It could have been appropriately messy like Backstage. Every time the show goes viral, it’s usually about a dumb ass storyline. 😭
