*The Dune Sea* Have a peaceful weekend...

Beauty & Heartbreak - While I stood here watching the Pacific light up the sky, my home state of North Carolina was reeling from Hurricane Helene. A year later, I still think about the contrast: beauty in one place, heartbreak in another. #landscapephotograpy

Coquina sunrise… Grateful for mornings like these that remind me to pause and take it all in. Standing among the moss-covered coquina rocks near Ft. Fisher NC, with the tide gently rolling in, it can feel like time slows down. #landscapephotography

*Spring's Summit* One from the archives in 2019...taken on a cool, misty Spring morning trip to Roan Mountain. I'm guessing the blooms are about to be in full swing, and I'm hoping to maybe find time for a day trip. #landscapephotography

*Desert Etchings* Another from Death Valley.... The badlands are one of my favorite spots to photograph out there. The erosion patterns and how the light plays off the eroding rolling mounds is just perfect...to me. Have a great weekend! #landscapephotography

*Dune(s)* More from DV... Interesting to catch the dunes from this perspective during a nasty windstorm earlier this year. If you've been to DV, you know the winds I'm talking about...if not, 😆 just be prepared for a random *windy* day to deal with. #landscapephotography

*Those Smoky Mountains* A good, but quick trip to the Smokies last weekend...spent dodging rain, looking for spring greens, fog and fast moving water. A little bit of everything. #landscapephotography

*Wizard* One from foggy Bandon Beach to match this morning's fog here in NC. The formation looks a Wizard's hat...but looks like seal to me from this angle. Enjoy the bit of normal temps this morning...I'm not ready for the bitter cold the next few days. #landscapephotography
