Seeing a worrying trend unfold in varsity baseball lately. Over the past month, I’ve witnessed an unsettling number of head coaches stepping down, not for typical personal reasons but due to excessive parental interference. Speaking to one of the departing coaches, he confided his preference to resign rather than surrender control of his program to overbearing parents. This raises a crucial question: What’s happened to the core principles of hard work and perseverance in sports? Are we so caught up in our own entitled ambitions that we’re willing to disrupt and potentially ruin these vital developmental experiences for others? It’s high time we take a step back and consider the lessons we’re teaching our young athletes. We must encourage them to embrace challenges and adversity, as these are the very experiences that shape resilient, capable adults. Life is not going to coddle them, and neither should we. Let’s restore integrity and independence to the game and let our coaches coach.

If tonight was the last time I cross the chalk line on my home field, my only hope is that I helped make the program better & made a way for the guys behind me to have success. #4out

It wasn’t the season that we wanted, but we are proud of our guys! The current administration got the team at end of April & put together a team quickly. Our guys were asked to do something no other team asked of their guys. We are excited in what we are building #Pipes
