An occupation “involves taking control of a location for an extended period to gain attention, disrupt activity, or prevent the use of the space.”. Disruption outweighs the message.

Not only were the tariffs not inflationary, but they also seem to have forced every country to collectively invest trillions of dollars in America. The "experts" were wrong once again.

@RasmusJarlov It is going to take yrs but economies like Canada/EU/China/UK are little by little going to distance themselves from the US. We would rather pay 15% more for a good/service that is stable and predictable than possibly pay less from the US with all the chaos and unpredictability.

There is nothing to celebrate. Moving from average tariffs of less than 2% on trade between the USA and Europe to 15% under today’s deal will inevitably lead to inflation. Almost everything will become more expensive in both Europe and the USA, and we will all be worse off. The economic illiteracy in the White House is doing serious damage to the West.

@erik_thorvalds Born in SK, lots of family in AB and live in Ottawa many years. The main difference I note is how everyone out west flaunts their $$ as soon as they get a little bit of it (trucks, big houses, etc). People in Ottawa tend to live much more modestly and retire comfortably.

In Ottawa for a wedding. I am shocked at how different it is out here. We are clearly not the same. Alberta is most certainly its own unique nation and culture. We don’t need to be subservient to these folks out east. We need to declare Independence and leave Canada.
