#OTD 1972 - Alan Benes was born in in Evansville, IN. Benes broke in with the Cardinals in 1995 and pitched for them until 2001. Injuries derailed his promising career and he missed the entire 1998 season. Happy 54th Birthday Alan! Pass on our wishes to him @AndyBenes40 #STLCards
