I swear, if I don't go to @jasperskc at least once a month, I start going into foodie withdrawals. Tonight, I tried his prix fixe menu that he's offering all month long. So amazing. The best part? Gossiping with him after the meal whilst grazing on his famous coconut cake.

Panettone Bread Pudding has arrived at Jasper’s! This indulgent holiday dessert features locally baked Farm to Market Italian Panettone combined with local Shatto Eggnog, creating a rich and festive treat & topped with a warm caramel and amaretto sauce.

Allegedly, the average American consumes 10-12 lbs of garlic every year. I wolfed down around half that tonight at @jasperskc's annual heirloom garlic dinner club. In my book, garlic is the world's most perfect food. I'll be impervious to vampires for at least 48 hours-ish.

Who doesn't love a big bowl of spaghetti at 10:30 a.m.?? Especially when it's from @jasperskc! This morning's Activity Period featured a Spaghetti Eating Contest for Italian Heritage Month with Owen Walsh '25, Finnegan Fuhrman 28, Lincoln Bunch 25, & Donatello Morales 27.

For years, @jasperskc has hyped this magical book of all his Dad's recipes. He calls it "the Bible." It's the stuff of lore—like, Narnia. Last night, he brought it out to refresh his memory on an amaretto budino recipe he was resurrecting. Folks, I just saw the Holy Grail.

Today chef @jasperskc wanted me to be a judge for Slow Food KC's gourmet BLT contest at @TheCityMarketKC. Each culinary team had their own spin on this classic sammich and—lemme tell you—it was a tough job, but somebody had to do it. Also, bacon ... because bacon. #bacon.

Yes, I swung by @jasperskc right before close last night to wish chef Jasper an early happy birthday. He said, "Hey, have you ever tried my coconut cake? You should have some. Lemme know what you think." Oh, Jasper ... always the jokester.

It was never easy pleading my case to Brian. Ha Ha, Slacker, I never won. But we had some great times that I will never forget. RIP Uncle Slacky!

The phones keep ringing at @101theFoxKC . Everyone wants to talk about Slacker. Producer Joel says it’s cathartic to talk to everyone about Slacker. Slacker died at age 59 of AML.

April 15th is significant not because it's Tax Day, but because it's the start of Mozzarella Theater season at @jasperskc. Once again, yours truly was the first customer out of the gate to partake of chef Jasper's tableside mozzerella presentation. (1/2)
