Didn’t expect that last post to reach as many people as it did. Been sitting here reading messages, replies, people sharing their own stories… it actually means a lot. Yeah, I relapsed. I’m not proud of it. I won’t try to spin it into something it’s not. It sucked, and I felt it. But what hit me harder than that was the amount of support I got after. From people on here, from my sponsors, from people who didn’t have to show up but did anyway. That’s something I don’t take lightly. Last night could’ve gone a completely different direction. Instead I sat down, talked, watched the game, and for a bit I felt normal again. That matters more than I can explain. I’m not fixed. I’m not magically better today. But I’m here, I didn’t use today, and I’m trying again. To everyone who reached out, checked in, or just took a second to read what I said, THANK YOU. Seriously. If you’re going through it too, you’re not alone in this. I’m right here figuring it out one day at a time.

I’m a mobile hairdresser and went to my customers house this morning. I had told her that I was an alcoholic and she gave me a coffee. I didn’t even realise until I took a mouthful that she had put whiskey in it. I spat it out and she couldn’t stop laughing. Who does that !!!!!

💜🐾 Dogs have a way of sensing what we can't see yet and stay right where they're needed most. 🙏🏻On a visit to this lady’s parents’ house, Charlie always left right away, but this time he refused to leave and stayed right next to her mom for 20 minutes, which he had never done before. 😪A few hours later this owner found out her grandmother passed away. 🕊️🌹 💥Do you believe dogs have a sixth sense and smell when death is near?

My name is Chris and I’m an alcoholic. I’m 31 days sober today. I have been invisible because I got checked into a mental facility for 2 days. They got me some much needed help and put me on anxiety meds. Hopefully I can keep this streak going and alive! I’m doing a lot better today

I was arrested for public intoxication and DWI—and STILL, I drank. I blacked out, drove drunk again, and somehow made it home alive. One morning, hungover, I realized: I’d either kill myself or someone else. I chose to quit drinking. 4.5 years sober. Best decision of my life

being in the house where my addiction completely took over me and nearly killed me can be difficult. bad memories. i got questioned the other day about why i don't drink. addiction ruins everything. i don't want to go back to that. i got my life back when i got sober. 161 days ✨
