If there was a foul for DOGSO it would have been brought back for the red card regardless if United scored or not

@jay_ash10 @callumcrosby1 @mark_robinson_ It was ruled out as the ball only went in because Haaland fouled Szoboszlai. In the game yesterday the on field decision was play on. VAR wouldn’t have instructed the referee to look at the monitor until the next break of play. Which United scored.

Ok let’s get this incident right. Even if there was a handball (of which there is no conclusive evidence) Sesko was fouled by Jones when the first cross went in, so it would have been a penalty & red card. Funny how Liverpool fans are ignoring that part. #MUNLIV #MUFC #ManUtd

If Arne Slot wants to complain about the Benjamin Sesko goal & wanted it overturned, go ahead. I'd have been ok with that, want to know why? Because then Curtis Jones would have been sent off under DOGSO for pulling back Sesko & preventing him from scoring with the original chance. VAR would have to review the entire attacking phase in the build up, which is standard protocol when disallowing a goal. It would have come under scrutiny as a missed foul in the build-up. Sesko's goal (which never had enough clear evidence to overturn anyway) was a better outcome for Liverpool than a DOGSO red card & penalty, for which Bruno Fernandes has a 85% success rate of scoring. Likely 2-0 down with 10 men sounds a lot worse than 2-0 down with 11. The bigger missed decision was Jones, not Sesko. Know when you've been outplayed, don't make excuses & try to claim being hard done by.
