These figures aren't correct. I don't know what happened, but using data directly from the ONS and using their deflation metric, you get this: Margaret Thatcher: +27.8% John Major: +13.1% Tony Blair: +25.6% Gordon Brown: -4.7% David Cameron: +7.3% Theresa May: +4.3% Boris Johnson: +1.1% Liz Truss: — Rishi Sunak: -1.0% Keir Starmer: +1.0%

Real-terms GDP per capita growth per Prime Minister: Winston Churchill: +0.8% Clement Attlee: +3.2% Winston Churchill: +9.8% Anthony Eden: +4.5% Harold Macmillan: +14.3% Alec Douglas-Home: +2.3% Harold Wilson: +13.6% Edward Heath: +8.1% Harold Wilson: +3.8% James Callaghan: +5.5% Margaret Thatcher: +2.7% John Major: +7.2% Tony Blair: +7.8% Gordon Brown: +1.9% David Cameron: -12.9% Theresa May: -7.4% Boris Johnson: -3.7% Liz Truss: 0.0% Rishi Sunak: -1.0% Keir Starmer: -1.0%

@GreenBeltTory I don't think we'll see a left wing populism for the same reason we didn't get to see a right wing populism, it simply can't coalesce into a national force that can establish the established parties.

Canada is ripe for a populist revolt, and Avi will likely be the first party leader actually to take on that mantle. I don't agree with him on literally anything, but discount him at your own peril.

Why is a minister of a foreign country coordinating with domestic orgs to restrict civil liberties in this country?

Held a Zoom discussion with Canadian Jewish leadership @CIJAinfo, on our war against the Iranian regime and Hezbollah, and the alarming wave of antisemitic attacks in Canada. I welcomed the passage of Bill C-9 in the House of Commons with the aim of strengthening the security of the Jewish community. Further steps are needed to confront the antisemitic attacks. I emphasized that Israel completely withdrew from Lebanon in 2000. 26 years later, Hezbollah is still attacking Israel from Lebanese territory and the Lebanese government and army aren’t preventing it. Therefore, Israel must act in Lebanon in order to protect its citizens and communities. @MoedIddo @nshack

Radko Gudas is not taking warmup in Edmonton and won’t play against the Oilers.  Here is video of the injury he suffered Thursday in Calgary. He was seen in a walking boot today.  The Ducks’ next game is Monday at home against Toronto, and there is an intense spotlight on this game because of what happened last time these two teams played. Anaheim travels home after today’s game, and Gudas is to undergo further testing tomorrow. I have no doubt Gudas’s desire is to play. But we’re going to see what the doctors say.

Gnälla om fett kulturliv I Örebro är en sak. Det är rent destruktivt att göra på riksnivå. "Varför har Sverige eurovision och jättedyr nobelfest när de pengarna kunde gå till fattigpensionärer!?"

🇸🇪 A Bold Plan to Turn Things Around in Sweden There is a peculiarity in the Swedish political system that enables a party that reaches 12% in a county (kommun) to gain access to the parliament (I am simplifying, but that is essentially it). Otherwise, a party needs 4% (on a national level) to get into the parliament. There is a good chance that @Markus_Allard and Örebropartiet could gain 12% in Örebro. Why do I want Markus Allard and Örebropartiet in the parliament? To be a thorn in the side of malicious Leftists, and to deal with corruption (i.e. waste of the tax-payers' money). Allard in the parliament would be a good addition to a strong Sweden Democrats. Perhaps he can even push SD in a better direction (i.e. to make sure they work harder). It will be interesting to see how things develop. Onwards!

There's no idea to debate econimics on twitter Mr. IMF man. Most of the cursed people who tweet about economics on this cursed app think prosperity is dependent on how much a cultcha is willing to work shitty self-employed jobs (and immigrants have nothing to do with those jobs)
Tony Annett@tonyannett

Again, just look at the data. In 1975, Sweden and Denmark enjoyed the highest GDP per capita in western Europe. Sweden’s GDP per capita stood at 87% that of the United States, up from 50% in 1945.
